    Hi.
I don't have knowledge on how to make a program, but I have a program in mind that is possible to make.
I am hoping someone who knows how to program and has knowledge on data types, or can implement from research, for JPG, MP3 and MPG, and computer file structure (in binary), can help me make a program that I really want to make.
It can potentially go towards making money, and I could split the money with the person who can help me program it.
I figure there must be someone on the forum who can help me put together this program.

    Thanks. :)

No, we won't make a program for you. Yes, we could help you along the way. Also, what idea is it? You can't just say "I HAVE AN IDEA!!!!" And not give it.

EDIT: Also, saying you'd "split the money" with whoever made it is just absurd. All you did was give an idea, why should you receive any profits for doing practically no work? Perhaps if you go like...5% of sales then maybe, but even that's a little steep in my opinion.

Not that I have programming skills, but I would think to get anyone's interest you should elaborate.
What is it exactly you're trying to create and what do you need from any potential programmer specifically?
If you're truly serious, a little more detail would catch someone's interest.
Btw, good luck with whatever you're trying to achieve.

As you can see, trying to piggyback off of other people's work isn't going to get you too far.

If you share what this idea is, however, then people might be receptive. Just some advice.

I have a friend who knows how to program well who has made custom experiemental apps for me, but he can't help me out with this out - no time at the moment. I was just hoping that someone with some free time who might be interested in making the program can help me out with it..

I've had some basic experience on how to program. I get the pseudocode idea of how to make the program I want.

The way a computer works, it uses binary of 0 and 1. A computer can create every single file possible by creating them sequencially based on its binary file sequence.
If more detail went into it, such as scanning the files based on current data types like JPG, it can scan every possible file the computer can ever make for JPG headers and such, saving every single potential JPG file a computer can possibly make.
Based on the fact that if you scan in a photo into a computer and save it, the binary that comprises it can be categorized into a binary file sequence number. You can theoretically save that photo with this program if you never took and scanned the photo to begin with. If you get the binary file sequence number of a commercial Wii game, then technically speaking the computer will create the 1:1 ISO for you ^^
The idea is to gather all media possible with this method.
JPG/BMP, MPG, MP3, perhaps even RAR, EXE, ISO, Game Roms and ISOs..
It would be used for a treasure house of just digging and collecting media. If something good is discovered, perhaps it can be sold.

So you want a program that will create every sequence of ones and zeroes ever, of every possible length, search the whole set for working files, then search the vast sum of those files for those that aren't garbage?

It's possible. You'd need an infinite amount of disk space, an infinite amount of time, and a bank of artificial intelligences to sort through them forever to determine "usable" files from random noise. Other than that, seems plausible.

Useable stuff would be absolute gems. Like computer art.. Every unreleased game is in there..... every media possible..
Like, for JPG/BMP.. one could create a certain picture size and every pixel-color combination possible, as literally every JPG/BMP possible.. maybe have it as a flowing movie in a pc app or something..

I don't think you understand how many combinations are involved.

Let's say you have a 50x50 image, and it's a GIF, so 256 colors (and here we're even incorrectly assuming a static palette).

So you have 256 possibilities per pixel, and 2,500 pixels. So that's 256 options for the first pixel, and (256x256)=65,536 combinations for two pixels. 16,777,216 possibilities for three pixels. 4,294,967,296 for four.

    And there's 2,500.

I don't know about you, but I don't know of any computer with the storage space for
