Hacking Wood R4 BUGS and Compatibility

Aauauugh thank jesus others are having this problem... Just tried it out now and I thought all my saves somehow got corrupted or something! :S

just update my FW, and none of my previous save file are recognized...

everytime i start a game an error pup up saying cannot read save data, please turn of the console and re insert the cart...

hope there will be a fix soon

Clean ROM: YES
What the bug is: Game is stuck at "Loading" then turns into red lettered "Loading" , Other games are ok.
Firmware 1.36 r4.cn 3DS

Edit: It is not the rom or SD card i have tried various methods to fix this but it does not work.
Tried "patched" version as well but alas, does not work.
EDIT2:Added the CRC code.

According to the changelog of Wood R4 1.33: "crc32 calculation added. start->tools->crc32. now all bug reports without crc32 of rom ignored." so I guess this problem will not be addressed.

With the CRC32 people can lookup if the ROM is okay, better than guessing ("It is not the rom or SD card i have tried various methods to fix this"). Also when YWG wants to fix it, then with the CRC32 he can verify if he is using the same dump. Also others can check if it works for them. Without the CRC32 it is very hard to check if the dump is okay and undamaged and if others have the same problem with the same dump. Since the CRC32 calculation is now implemented in Wood R4 it is very easy to supply this information.

According the compatibility list on http://wiki.scorpei.com/index.php/R4_compatibility_list the ROM should work since Wood R4 v1.20:

Who knows? But at least now I read this post. You need reformat your microsd with cluster size 8k or higher (maximum value 64k is preferable due best performance).

1.
Game name: Super Mario 64 DS (E) M5 PROPPER
Release number: 0022
CRC-32: 29715dec (untrimmed), c3ac324a (trimmed)
Clean ROM: Yes and no (trimmed with DS-Scene Rom Tool)
What the bug is: Download Play does not work.
What you did to debug it: Game transmitted via Download Play. The first system is a DSi. The second DS system is a 3DS. I tested several ROMs.
How you can repeat the bug: Just two DS systems via download play connect.

Game name: Mario Kart DS (E) M5
Release number: 0201
CRC-32: 94e8127e (untrimmed), 6e4ceda1 (trimmed)
Clean ROM: Yes and no (trimmed with DS-Scene Rom Tool)
What the bug is: Download Play does not work.
What you did to debug it: Game transmitted via Download Play. The first system is a DSi. The second DS system is a 3DS. I tested several ROMs.

While this is the receiver system receives the data, it freezes at Nintendo logo. The ROMs have been tested once trimmed (trimmed with the DS-Scene Rom tool. The ROM has also been recognized as valid.) And without. In both exactly the same.

@ywg: For me it is not running. The ROMs have been trimmed correctly and without trimming depends on the receiver system. I would now think of only the micro SD format with 64k clusters ... Do you have any ideas, you can try what?

I'm now my micro SD with the SDFormatter once formatted and tested it.
It works.

Was this bug fixed for other games? I have not come back.

What the bug is: I think the .sav file doesn't change even if I save the progress.
What you did to debug it: I downloaded this game from another website.

I changed the save type from 4K to 512K.

Wood R4 Updater Module:
I start the updater and update the updater module to 1.36.1
and after that if i look for updates it just keeps connecting forever
after 5 minutes it finally was ready but everything was failed
Updater Module - Failed
Main Module - Failed
Cheats DB - Failed

There is nothing wrong with my connection because updater module 1.36 works just fine

I may be wrong, but the updater appears to update to an old version of the CMP database, (2011-08-21 REV A).
The newest one is 2011-09-18, and I'm pretty sure that's not the one downloading.

Just curious, on previous versions of Wood R4 (1.34 and before), game loading would work on the R4iTT. Basically, we decrypted ds menu and renamed it and we could play games on it. But as of 1.35 and beyond every game that we load white screens. Is this change intentional?

I don't know if this is bug or what, but I would like to know if anyone here got any problem with their DS mic. I just realized it after playing Crafting Mama.
I'm using Wood R4 1.36. If others got it ok, then it's my mic that's broken.
