Ahh... so i see your problem, now. You were using outdated HBC. You really don't need to use both prehistoric versions.
Use the latest one, which is already fixed, no need to force aspect ratios.

After installing the new one, just delete the oldest channels.
ok I just installed it and I'm pretty sure it's the same I had installed for 16:9 display. It has the same result on wiisxr's screen mode settings. Selecting 4:3 will stretch the buttons and everything else fitting the entire screen and 16:9 will correct them but no matter what I change the actual game display will always be forced to 16:9.
I guess I'll need to keep the 4:3 homebrew channel for now just in case even though I'll probably never gonna launch wiisxr in vwii because I need the patch first in the wii u side.
But anyway I realized I could make a forced 4:3 wii u forwarder for wiisxr with teconmoon's injector so problem solved!
And for the games that I couldn't run I think I'm gonna try a different source or a different image format and see what happens.
edit: apparently teconmoon's injector won't let force 4:3 wii homebrew apps, only nand apps
