I have around 150 GC backups and nearly all boot fine on my NTSC wiikey combo without the need of gcos.

Offcourse i have region free turned on.
They just dont boot.
When they are on GCOS they all boot fine.

But this new update sems interresting.
And this new "DEV" mode.. what would that contain?
A Wii Disc that allows starting of Wii Homebrew like twiligth hack?

It already does, if you use freeloader (I'm not being a smart arse, you just might not know).
I'm running it on my Wiinja V1, with freeloader!

I almost feel sorry for the people that took the time and work to turn their wiikey into a YAOSM, or put a switch on it. I had a tough time dealing with those tiny solder points. Not like they hurt anything...it just took a little longer than expected. again.
I'm glad its finally here, and the Xeno Team can take their precious time working on 1.9s. I'm not going to beg and plead for the beta (then piss and moan some time later bout a modchip's updates being late). I didn't spend that much on my official wiikey, and it plays backups like I want it to. It does a damn fine job of it too. In fact, if the Xeno team packed it up right now, I'd shake their hands on the way out the door.
