I just got a JDM programmer and some chips from microchip.com and have run into a problem. I have tried both 12f629 and 12f275. They can be read fine but when it comes to writing I will get an error from IC-Prog telling me that programming failed at 0000h. Oddly enough the first two bytes are actually written fine to the chips despite what the error says. I have tried the programmer on other computers and get the same result (except from the laptop which barely had enough power from the serial port to light the green LED). I have tried altering settings to no avail. Hopefully someone can help me figure out what is going on here...
