Hello everyone,

First time poster here. I decided to make this post since I am having issues with my Wii U. Currently, my Wii U will not boot up to the main menu. It stays stuck on the Wii U logo indefinitely.

There are a few things to note about my console. The console is the black 32 gb model. I believe it was bought during the 2012 holiday season (release) as we were expecting to play Pikmin 3 before it got delayed. The system has never been modded in any fashion. It was not the most heavily played console, and I can't even give a good estimate of when it was last used (at least more than 3 years).

I have already tried doing the UDPIH, however it does not seem to be working. When using the second recovery menu, I get a white screen with some blue lines (see attached image). I believe this is similar to what @fadafwet described in his post. I was able to get the logs from the system, which I have attached to this post. Any idea what the issue may be and how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated.

The DLC wouldn't be installed on the SLC, only the ticket would be on the SLC. Game updates go to usr/title/0005000e on the MLC.

If you restore an old SLC you also need to rebuild the MLC because of SCFM.

I think I’m going to try formatting the MLC again because like you said, nothing seems to be helping and based on all your suggestions, you seem to be pretty sure it’s an issue with something on the MLC rather than the SLC (or anything else for that matter). I was wondering though if reformatting the MLC also completely removes Tiramisu/Homebrew. What I plan to do if start from fresh with a throw away user and see if the update works, but if Tiramisu is still present, that would be a variable I’m not controlling.

With Tiramisu everything is on the SD anyway, except the FailST Exploit/PayloadLoader you install to the H&S app. Since the H&S app lives on the MLC, it will be reinstalled. The install of the Wii U menu will also reset any changes to the Coldboot Title.
You can keep your Tiramisu on the SD, after rebuilding the MLC you just have to launch it again trough the Installer and then Install the PayloadLoader again.

I have some controls planned so if something goes wrong, I'll be able to pinpoint where it went wrong.

Instead of using disktrim, I used MiniTool Partition Wizard to wipe the micro SD card (wipe disk), replacing everything with zeros. This should be good to completely wipe the card, right? I think it's similar to what disktrim does.

disktrim tells the controller in the sd card that it should erase everything and should just show zeros. Then the controller internally deallocates the blocks, which allows it to work a little more efficient.
Overwriting really writes something, so from the perspective of the controller in the sd everything is used.
From the perspective of the Wii U it does not make a difference.

If the led is blinking blue, you know it formatted, then it doesn't matter what was there before.
If it turns yellow, then something failed, which would indicate that it didn't format.

Wanted to give a quick mini update. I tried reinstalling all the mlc titles through minute again, and to start off with, it took several attempts to get past the mlc open attempt. I assumed the first one (and maybe even the second one) would get stuck on the open attempt, as this was just formatting the card. It took probably four or five attempts before I got past that and started getting a data corruption error. I believe I got the error three times before I then did the destroy and setup at the same time, resulting in what I believe to be a successful destroy. I did try to see if this also did do the setup at the same time, but it doesn't look like it did. I'm still working my way towards trying to get game update to work, but I wanted to attach the log of the data corruption errors to make sure something isn't wrong with the card (or anything else) that might result in me getting the update error.

The setup didn't format the MLC because iosu still detected a valid FS because auf SCFM. It has nothing to do with the card.
I hope it now works after the destroy, else I might have to see how I could improve that.

As an alternative to the destroy you could also try restoring your original SLC.RAW (not SLC.bin) backup.as that should still have the SCFM for the 32gb mlc

Based on the log for the destroy, it looks like the prior log that you said worked, so I'm going to assume I just need to do the setup now. I didn't save the log for the destroy because nothing jumped out as new or unusual.

As I've said, my next step is to install the mlc titles, after that I have a series of different tests in mind.

If the led remains blue during the setup then everything is fine. If it goes yellow, then the previous destroy probably wasn't successfull. Or if it errors out with these data corruption errors, then it also wasn't successful

Finished the install and went straight to trying to start Pikmin 3, and I still get the error (105-3015). This is with no Tiramisu or anything else installed, so I would think at this point the problem either lies with one or more of the mlc titles I'm installing, or something on the slc, or maybe a combination of both.

I downloaded the ticket cleaner, but how is it run? Is it run through Tiramisu launcher? I may be using the wrong name, but I mean the launcher that opens from the Mii channel.

I had the error myself, but then it always helped recreating the folders I already mentioned.
What happens if you unblock the system updates with UDFiine and then try to run a system update?
