So, I've noticed there's quite a bit of extra space on the right side of the battery compartment that the battery cable occupies.

I see that you can buy a replacement cover for about $7 from Nintendo.

What I'm looking for the male and female connectors for the battery itself.

With those it would be possible (in theory) to add an inline power switch without voiding any warranty on the game pad itself... In fact I'm surprised there's no third party that has made a battery cover like this...

I'm talking about putting a switch on the battery cover of the game pad so that it doesn't turn on automatically with a Wii controller (or pro controller).

But I can't find the connectors and I don't really want to cut the wire for the battery pack.

The only way to do it without voiding the warranty is to put the switch inline with the battery wires, cut a hole in the battery cover, a little hot glue and vioala!

Personally, I would solder a micro JST connector in and so I can unplug the battery from the switch, and the battery cover from the Gamepad power input connector.

I may just do this along with wifi antenna to get better range...

Yep, that's what I'm looking into doing but I'd like something that doesn't involve any modification to the battery or controller.

Inline with connectors...

Does anyone know what the battery connectors that the game pad has are called (if they're standard)?

I don't think they're a standard connector. Remember the battery is replaceable, as well as the battery cover.

I've just been leaving the battery cover off. Easier than messing with the damn screws all the time. I'd like to throttle whoever decided to start adding screws to battery covers.
