What can I do to put wii sports resort working in firmware 4.1?
1º Metode Solution by Hadrian
1. MAke a NeoGamma Folder in the root of SD card and put the RZTP.dol file inside it. Boot.dol needs to be there too
2. Load Neogamma R6 via Homebrew Channel and have the settings like this:
002 fix: ON
Alternative dol: SD
3. Then just launch the disc or USB. You'll see a stupid video with a bint with sexy hands for about 3 minutes. Video ends and then it restarts the Wii
4. Restart Neogamma and change the settings so the it doesn't run the alternative dol.
Works for me.
I can't give you the alt dol(I think its copyrighted), but googling RZTP.dol works.
Tested and Working very well ^^

You can use a (USB)Loader with 002 fix and alt. DOL support.
1. Start the first introduction video with the alternate DOL(rip it with a tool like wiiscrubber) and watch it. You end in the Wii menu and the game itself doesn't work.
2. Switch off the alternate DOL function and run the game again, now you can play it.
Doesn't try to view the video again from the game, it work only with the alternate DOL function, the game only without it. wink.gif
^^ Tested on a PAL Wii with 4.0e and a PAL version of WSR.

How to get Wii Sports Resort working(disc/sd/usb on softmods, will work for hardmodded Wiis too, but would be kind of pointless to do it this way on these):
1. Get NeoGamma:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158884
2. Run NeoGamma from HBC
3. Select alternative .dol loading from disc
4. Start the game
5. Select the .dol that is NOT the main.dol
6. Watch all movies
7. The Wii will crash/reboot
8. Set NeoGamma back to no alternative .dol loading
9. Use your preferred method to play the game
If you get an error, freeze or reboot AFTER step 5, you may have the wrong cIOS and/or wrong settings. The game does not like it if you force the video mode. To solve cIOS "question", install rev13a:

(link is somehwere hidden inside)
PS: I do not have the game, so there might be an error in this guide
WORKS perfectly for me using method 3, and enhanced the process
playing WITHOUT wiimotion plus
What i have:
LU64XXXXXX (so the process should works with any other models)
installed before the process:
waninkoko 4.1 firmware updater (official nintendo 4.1 update works too)
known issues updating to 4.1:
-games saved with the homebrew savegame manager may not be re-installable to the wii
-you have to re-install preloader
everything else was ok after updating to 4.1 using waninkoko installer.
used Iospatcher in order to be able to install preloader (needed only with LU64/LU65 Wii's)
installed preloader 0.29 (don't rename the SDROOT\APPS\PRELOADER folder to get it to works lolll
installed hacks.ini file to SDROOT (took me some time to realise that SDHC doesn't works for the first read of the .ini by preloader)
already had the CIOS38rev14 installed
WHAT I DID:
game burned as any other one, standard dvd, standard method used NTSC .ISO game image
used DATEL Wii powersave tool to download and convert\decrypt the codejunkies savegame for the NTSC version.
new savegame was renamed as asked by the tool and copied as they mentionned to do, same path the tool told me.
back to the wii system menu, i copied the new savegame to the Wii memory like any other savegame stored on a SD card.
this allow me to start the game without detection of the motionplus hardware.
started the game with neogamma R6 autoboot channel , 002fix = NO (not needed anymore with mods listed earlier)
ALT DOL = DISK
hit --->start game from DVD
when prompted , the game gives me choice between PLAYER.dol or MAIN.dol
chose PLAYER.dol
listen the annoying holywood-creation-like tutorial movie.
the Wii reboots.....
back to the neogamma channel options, remove alt dol (you can let it "as is" but will be annoying choosing MAIN.dol on every game you will play
)
now the game is running as any other ones, and with the new savegame, no motionplus hardware needed anymore to play.
NOW, i will open a copy of the ISO file with wiiscrubber, i will shrink the image, i will extract the PLAYER.dol to hard disk, i will rename the PLAYER.DOL to MAIN.DOL, i will replace in wiiscrubber the original main.dol by the new MAIN.dol i just renamed
and i will create a new 800mb ISO bootable file. so if something happens, or if i want to play the game in another wii,
i'll only have to use the new "installation" disk to auto-start the video, then when the wii will reboot i'll eject the first disk and
put the real game disk on and voila! (not tested yet but some kind of disk will works , that way or a bit around that...
thanx to all who worked\still-works on softs, CIOS, forums, walkthrough, tuto's and anything useful to anyone to make
all this possible
