Is Pokemon still that "in" as it was to the old GameBoy Times?
yes it is the games are definately, the TV show..not as much the cards I have no idea.
the games for handhelds are practically the same graphics style since they first began except colour has been added and things look "slightly" more 3D personally I think they should bring out a next gen pokemon game thats fully 3D that would be completely AMAZING and a must have.
ontopic: this looks ok I think maybe worth a try if theres an EU/US release.
It's still "in" in Japan, I think (applied to Anime/Manga/Cards/Misc). It seems to have declined a bit and then picked up a bit. At least, that's what it seems like. A bunch of promotional cards, blah blah blah, Pokemon Japan has a lot of goodies for fans, lots of events, etc, etc. Comparing the two.. US - Anime/Cards are a 'bit' downgraded/dumbed down/etc (Anime - too child friendly, cards - a 'few' graphical differences and a bunch of JP exclusive cards.) That and I don't remember the last time I've heard about a Pokemon card competition. On the bright side, at least they're not pulling a Tales and keeping games exclusive to Japan.
-Cough- On another note : Pokemon fans have different tastes, therefore are not exactly a Pokemon fan, but a fan of a specific part of Pokemon and not Pokemon in general. Includes the standard games, card games, the show, manga-optional, and music. (Yes, I love Pokemon. Minus the Manga, because I'm not sure where I can find that.)
I'll try this before saying anything though..
Besides, it's probably the first or one of the first Pokemon games to feature -VOICES- instead of SFX. A bit of a step up in the Pokemon Game world.
