Getting into this universe super late after replacing the drive on my parent's Wii.
Spent most of Christmas break trying to debug black screen loading issues on USB Loader GX, but finally realized that after taking good dumps with CleanRip (hashes come out okay), using Wii Backup Loader (build 78) makes the WBFS without an error, but the game either doesn't load at all or hangs within a few seconds of starting. Also just converting to an ISO using the individual part files (using `wbl`) doesn't work, and the hash doesn't match compared to if I combine the part files manually.
I finally tried Dolphin and realized the same issue occurs with the WBFS file but doesn't occur if I manually join the ISO and run it from the dump.
Last night I tried looking at Wiims ISO Tools and appreciate the verify command and realized it makes a usable WBFS, but it's so much more convenient to use Wii Backup Loader.
The handful of WBFS files I've checked with `wit` that `wbl` has converted from good ISOs have all shown checksum errors in the H0 table.
Is there a secret version of Wii Backup Loader or am I alone with these problems? Perhaps a mystery setting in the app?
Thanks!
