WIFI help .....

ok guys my sister has a wifi connection and she said its ok for me to share it

now what would i need to get my computer to acess her wifi internet

i wanna use the wifi for surfing the web and maybe warcraft

would that do ? or would i need something else i have no idea what the letters mean after the name of the wfi card liek G or what ev er

That should be enough, the letter are wi-fi protocols you shouldn't care about

I use a cheap chinese receiver on 4 PCs @ the office and they work great.

ok now this might sound stupid but is that network adapter fast enough ? for me to download stuff like mp3 or games ?

cuase my friend has a netowrk adapater and it caps at like 15 kps when he downloads stuff :-(

uhhh 15 kb/s is like...unheard of for a network adapter. if its 802.11 the connection should be 54 mb/s. its probably his internet...is it dialup?

could be drivers or a crappy router or not setup correctly

if im downloading something like lets say a movie will it slow down her connection ?
