"Click the crosswalk"
"Click the fire hydrant"

I`m f*cking british.

Can`t they have "click the red pillarbox" or
"Click the boarded up window" or
"Click the used rubber johnny on the pavement"

Probably most of the regulars on gbatemp, myself included, enjoy the modding
I enjoy modding my consoles more than I enjoy playing them.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing games. I wouldn't buy the consoles if I didn't. But there's something about modding a console that I can't explain. I've even gone as far as buying a console I never intend to use simply so I could mod it. (Looking at you, original Xbox!)

It started (for me) with the PSP. A random web search showed me how to make a Pandora's battery and put CFW on it. So I did. It was exhilarating. Got the same feeling when I later did the Wii. And again when I realized I had everything needed for a fat PS2 with FreeMCBoot. It got even better when I bought Cubic Ninja for 3DS, and then blew my mind when A9LH dropped. I bought a Vita specifically to mod it with no intention of ever playing it and enjoyed the process so much I've been buying hackable Vita's and modding them ever since. Same with Wii U's.

I'll be honest though. The Switch was kind of a let down. "Jam this jig in the right joycon rail, push volume up and power, connect it to a PC and run this payload" just didn't seem to give me the same feeling. It was... Boring.

The games are secondary for me. Hacking the ever loving crap out my consoles is just the cats meow.

Yeah, incorrect. Ask him for DNS lookup dumps. Missing a game != not pulling straight from CDN.

(I was skeptical too, so I logged all lookups + inbound connections, and... well, that's why I'm telling him to do the same.)

Why not post your findings then?

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)

@BigOnYa, Lol I bought a new USB card reader thing on AliExpress last month for I think like 87 cents. Free shipping from China... It arrived it works and honestly I don't understand how it was so cheap.
