Gaming Why I think Partners in Time will eventually be remade

So, with the upcoming release of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey for the 3DS, many people are wondering: why did Nintendo skip Partners in Time and go straight from Superstar Saga to BIS?


Well, I have a guess.
Nintendo may have decided that, since the neither the Nintendo Switch games (In order to make them compatible with the dock) nor PiT (except for one cutscene, which can be replaced with motion controls) use touch controls, Partners in time would be a good way to introduce the series to the Switch.

I feel like both SS and BiS were ported/remade to reuse the assets/engine easily in a low budget 3DS game. Given PiT wasn't particularly received amazingly, it makes sense it was skipped to remake BiS.

Considering the release date of the remake, my guess is that Alphadream had only one last game planned for the 3DS and opted to remake BiS because it was more successful.
