Hacking Where to get a firmware 4.5 or below 3DS XL?

Just bought a 3DS XL on Amazon.fr but it came from Germany (Amazon.de) :

SEH1127, 4.4.0-10E, Blue/Black, Copyright 2012

how do u know that from buying on amazon? and if its form a different country does it matter if im in the u.s?

yep, just double checked to be sure, it is correct. I think they have been stored for a while at the shop. I bought 2 weeks ago but i think the release of all black colour was March 2013?

Maybe someone else who bought from Argos in the UK when the Layton deal was on 2 weeks ago can confirm a similar serial.

I got two blue ones in the mail (United States), SW 1249 and SW 1251, both say copyright 2012. Both should be 4.5 or under correct?

My brother just bought a Red 3DS XL form Walmart in ontario, SW1239, Firmware 4.4

We where looking at almost all the boxes.. all where SW12 or below for the Blue or RED XL!

cant confirm myself but a few must have been sold with Gateway in mind on amazon black friday here in the UK. I would think some of them went to tempers. I'm pretty sure the came with 4.5 or lower. Someone will confirm.

Talk about those 3dsxl bundles, are those bundles available for certain period of time? For instance Nintendo only manufactured certain bundle in 3 months for example, after that they'll no longer make certain bundle and start doing new bundle? If it's true then we've reason to believe that all Mario Kart 7 bundles will come with 4.5 or below.

Nov 2012 was europe release i think. Ninty would make so many then move on.

How about 3dsxl Mario 3D Land bundle? From what I heard it might comes with even older firmware, if this's the case can I flash it to 4.5 and play with gateway?

3ds xl mario land bundle came out Nov 2012 in the UK i would expect that to come with 4.5 or lower. 3ds mario land bundle came out Dec 2011 if new it will have an ancient firmware that you could update via one of the 4.5 firmware games listed in this thread. Bundles are the best way to find a 4.5 firmware device i think,

Quickly remove all but the first 4 numbers of your serial!

So I'm selling my Limited Edition Pokemon X/Y Blue 3DS XL to someone in about 30 minutes. Does anyone know the Canadian serial codes for both the normal 3DS and the XL which would get me one with a firmware of 4.5 or below? Thanks.
