That's not express.

I'd rag on you for reading comprehension, but Nintendo brought this on themselves. The fact that they also have "extended capacity" microsd cards is going to make this a headache for years to come.

I'm blaming the SD Association for the shite naming scheme.

yeah we got
SD(sc) (normal under 2gb)
SDHC (high capacity 32 gb)
SDXC (eXtended capacity? 2 tb)
SDUC (ultra capacity??? 128 tb)
if it were up to me it would all be just SD or SD under 2 GB and SDHC for everything else considering it's supposed to be "high capacity"

Why on earth would anyone waste £350 on a 1TB express card. You can buy the Nintendo 256GB express cards of eBay now between £41-£44 so all you have to do is buy 4 at say the £42 that’s £168 so you would be saving £182 over a 1TB express card ok you have to switch your sd cards over for your games but a saving of that I would be willing to do

swap sd every time is not an ideal solution , also can risk to broke sd reader of the console or sd itself , when on stock btw was not more than 200 dollars not 350 , would be nice if publishers just put the entire games on discs/cartridge like old times ... even being able to use external hardisks could be nice , at leasts are more cheap than sd

  • The Nintendo Switch 2's card slot sits on a separate daughter board and is intended to be easily replaced.
  • MicroSD slots are rated for a minimum of 5,000 insertions, but typically OEMs go far beyond (usually double that at least) since machining tools have come a long way since those standards were introduced.
  • The durability of the pins used in the cartridge slot looks to be of a similar design to Würth Elektronik's and are rated for 5,000 mating cycles, so similarly, it doesn't seem like using the cartridge slot in an identical amount would wear out slower. However, you'd expect more swapping with the cartridge slot since you would typically only have one game per cartridge.
  • You can make the slots last longer by being gentle.
  • There is a project for bringing M2 support via the MicroSD Express slot.

As an example and this is from eBay they are all over the £300 mark:-

That's definitely scalper's price, but no one is dumb enough to buy it.
Yeah that’s true I was giving a real good example of a scalpers dream directly from eBay.

This was my point why would anybody be dumb enough to purchase the 1TB card at those sort of prices even of Amazon it’s still stupidly expensive when you can buy 4 256’s at a lot less…🤦🏻 sorry my bad I know why it’s so you don’t have to change over the sd cards it’s so inconvenient

I'm perfectly fine with the 256GB Express SD, besides, I'll only use NS2 for NS2 exclusives (and a few third party games), plus NS1 games too (cartridge only).

Me too 100%. I’ve even done a DIY job and used the container it comes in, I’ve put 4 little Velcro cubes on each side of it and stuck it to the backside of the switch 2 now I have an sd holder on the go I was pleased with myself

Now is not the time. Let the suckers pay the early adopter tax and wait until SD Express prices come down to a reasonable level. Cause they're nuts right now. You don't need one yet, you can get by with the 256 GB internal for a while.

We don’t understand what you’re saying, probably 99% of the temp are from either America or England and we all speak English language so we don’t know if you’re being serious, humorous, funny or even sarcastic or angry that’s why nobody’s answering back

You really don't know how this works, do you? I really don't have time for this, but please learn about WHY Nintendo is using a FAR faster card now before whining about non-existent headaches that will never come.

It's a strange comment, even more so he translated yours.

Going through the translator... Means "Me too 100%."
