Honestly just wait a few years. Like Wii U launch to Aroma release.... at least.
Nintendo tightening things down, it will take at least 5-8 years.

Hard to say for sure, Nintendo burned a lot of bridges with this system, and some of the big hackers are not happy. Bricking (well banning from online) consoles for even buying used games, never mind the threats, overpriced consoles and games.

At one point I was thinking a few years but, with how Nintendo played this game, I would not be shocked if we see an exploit in less than 6 months.

I think an exploit may arrive sooner than we think. With the Switch 1, I think once the v1 models could be softmodded and the later models hardmodded, there was a lot less motivation to make a softmod exploit happen for the patched models. With the Switch 2 the other hand, we have nothing. I find it hard to believe nothing will be ever be found.

The Switch 1 was never softmodded.

Pretty sure the launch model was, through that RCM exploit that just requires a correctly setup microSD card and a jig for the right JoyCon rail. The launch model doesn't need a modchip - which is good, considering I have never soldered anything in my life, don't know where to get modchips, and wouldn't feel comfortable attaching a modchip to my expensive console.

As for the topic of this thread...it's inevitable that it will be, one day. No system is truly impregnable, after all, and the hacking scene has a lot of experience with Nintendo consoles. It likely won't be an RCM exploit, as that was fixed with Switch OLED never mind the Switch 2, but something will eventually work.

And, well, all I care about are save managers (JKSV, for example) and Breeze-style cheats; that's all I want out of Switch 2 CFW.

Is modding the only thing people really care about when a new console is out?

If the answer is yes then you're all dumbasses.
All I do is hack my consoles. Who doesn't want to run emulators and homebew on their new hardware? Though usually the consoles were cheaper, but the Switch 2 being $450, then I might just get a Steam Deck and call it a day. Too bad used Steam Deck hold their value too well. Got another Switch 1 for $80 off Ebay and already modded it.
That's debatable.
This is what a contact I have told me, "They already managed to upload Hekate to the Switch 2", "although they are implementing putting the exploit through the Browser" - "I belong to TeamXecuter", that was what my contact told me, if this is true we will most likely have a chip soon.

I want this to be real, but I doubt it is. Going back to believing in Santa Claus.

This isn‘t a softmod since it‘s using a hardware exploit.

Was this ever verified to be true? Pretty sure Nintendo can't undo console bans, which made that story pretty suspect already.
People were banned for buying keys from 3rd party sites but never used games no. The few reports we saw of that were from people clearly lying lol. They all had prior links to piracy and MIG subreddits.

although there is a very clear possibility that you would get banned by buying a used game from someone who cloned it to their MIG and you're both playing the copy with the same exact cert online
