There is a lot to read through. Is the consensus that it is 30% hacked correct? With the current iosu vulnerability we could shoehorn caffiine / gecko to work ?

It is not correct at all. The "vulnerability " is a nothingburger.

The "consensus" is still 0%.

I invite everyone actually competent to do research, please, more fresh eyes are always welcome. That said, the kernel has been thoroughly audited by myself, hexkyz, plutoo, and at least five others who I've sent my fully labeled IDB (reverse engineering database) to, and none of us have found anything at all. It's very small (~600 functions, takes about eight hours to fully review), and the odds seem overwhelmingly likely that nothing will ever be found.

I sent Comex all of my reversing data in the hopes he finds it useful; if he finds a kernel bug, I would be thrilled. It is not impossible that I (and many others) have all missed something that he as another talented dev might find. But, I do think people should temper their expectations and mostly expect it to not happen.
so, with that, how will be the unlock of Swich 2? will it still happen or at least enough for there to be an emulators of it?

Only 30%

30% that's nothing. That's the tip. I like it when it's 100% all in.

Ill come later.

"30% hacked" or anything like that is bullshit. It's either 0% hacked or 100% hacked. Also, "hacked" doesn't mean "free games".
To put it simple, let's say that hacking a console is like picking locks. If you manage to bust one lock, you gain some access to the console. The keyword here is some. Some exploits will only allow you to monitor your console, some will allow you to inject some code (like early Gateway3DS exploit), while other will allow you to fully install custom codes (like CFW).
When people find an exploit, it may be an exploit that gives some very shallow access to the console, while another exploit may give deeper access but would require shallow access in order to use it. That's one reason why hackers/modders say to not update your console if you plan to mod it. If there is an hardware exploit (cannot be patched) that requires another software exploit (can be patched) in order to use it, you would not be able to mod your console if it is updated.

TL;DR : Hacking Switch 2 doesn't automatically mean free games.

Chances are someone is working on the Switch 2, but it won't be free. There's a financial incentive for someone to find a way to run homebrew and "backup" games on a Switch 2. Whoever is working on it won't have anything anytime soon because the moment something is released then Nintendo will quickly react and try and prevent it. You want a good amount of Switch 2's in peoples hands before releasing a tool to hack it. If someone happens to find an exploit then that's a nice bonus, but so far the kernel seems bullet proof.

Is modding the only thing people really care about when a new console is out?

If the answer is yes then you're all dumbasses.
>Be on the forum focusing people modding consoles
>Call them dumbasses because they care about modding

Who is dumb really here?

Honestly just wait a few years. Like Wii U launch to Aroma release.... at least.
Nintendo tightening things down, it will take at least 5-8 years.
It could be tomorrow, never, or sometime in between. As long as you don´t have any insider information, it´s all just crystal ball gazing.

This is what a contact I have told me, "They already managed to upload Hekate to the Switch 2", "although they are implementing putting the exploit through the Browser" - "I belong to TeamXecuter", that was what my contact told me, if this is true we will most likely have a chip soon.
