Everybody treats his word like it's the Bible or something. If everybody thinks like that, nobody is going to bother looking for exploits. And that's a problem.
As a developer myself I know how often a fresh pair of eyes can spot issues that I missed.
Okay, how about you contribute something and do your own research, instead of posting stupid things online?SciresM this, SciresM that. How about everybody stops taking a single person for his word and does their own research instead? He's not perfect, he can miss things just like anybody else.
Not my field of expertise. I wouldn't know what to look for.By all means, show us how it's done.

I'm not asking anyone to do anything. I think you're confused. You don't say!
If you're going to dismiss the conclusions from research performed by experts, you best be ready to roll up those sleeves and get to work proving them wrong. Because your ignorance is not, in fact, as good as their knowledge, and you're not going to randomly convince some hacker to put in the work for you to make progress on this problem.
Seriously, it feels like this forum is becoming a home for people who think they can prompt someone else to do all the hard work of hacking this console.

What I am saying is that SciresM claiming there are no bugs is not a guarantee (as opposed to what most people seem to think because the same sentence gets repeated over and over in every thread talking about exploits) and it should not discourage people from doing their own research. No more, no less. My mistake if that wasn't clear.Pick one.

Can you please stop sucking SciresM's dick? There is nothing about wrong about asserting that one person is infallibleNo, you were perfectly clear. You want to contest SciresM's assertion, but you can't, so you're hoping someone else will do it.

1) It is human nature to want him to be wrong and not have the ability to do what he does. It would be asinine to assume that there is no one else as capable. I'm not a doctor either. If I go to one doctor and get a diagnosis, I may go get a second opinion to confirm it.1) This isn't about SciresM's reputation, it's about people who want him (and others) to be wrong but can't be asked to put in the work to prove it.
2) Infallible means incapable of making mistakes or being wrong. So if you're calling SciresM infallible, you might want some mouthwash.
I have nothing but respect for SciresM. Clearly a top class guy in what he does. He provided so much for the homebrew community for well over a decade at this point. I wish I was able to do some of the same things he does.Show some f… respect…
SciresM is the one who reverse-engineered and reimplemented the microkernel of the Nintendo Switch.
He knows more about the Horizon and the switch’s kernel than anyone….

So, we shouldn't update our Switch 2's?And back to the topic - ~comex, who is known f.e. from Wii hacking scene, found an entrypoint in NS2 browser that allows arbitrary r/w.
It won't allow compromising system on its own. It's valuable because it allows deeper research into OS exploits that may not be easily accessible.
