what type of OS do you use on your computer?

i use both Ubuntu(linux) and windows 7.

i use Ubuntu for surfing the web. i meanly use Ubuntu for surfing the web, because its more secure(thats because linux is 1% and less people brother making viruses for it.)

windows 7 for steam and office and other software which i might need.

I'm using Windows 8 on my MacBook Air. I find it more useful than using Mac OS, as many of the programs I use regularly are only available on Windows. Some Mac OS versions have been coming out recently though, but I still use Windows and there's not enough space on this SSD for a dualboot.

I voted for Windows on my main PC, but I also use Linux on my older machines so I can get better performance out of the older hardware. If you use something like Puppy Linux it will run on something as ancient as a Pentium 4 with 512MB's of RAM and still feel snappy.

why buy a MacBook air if you going to use windows 8, why didnt you just buy a normal laptop? MacBook air are not cheap!

Ive seen this sort of thread lots of times in my lifespan here.

I have a MacBook Pro but im on OSX 10.6 (snow leopard).The new versions of OSX made some crappy changes I dont like.
I have it duel booted so I also have Windows 7. Its pretty nice and gets my shiz done.

My school had a Mac-only requirement a year ago. They got enough complaints about it later that they changed that requirement to allow all laptops, but most people ended up buying a Mac anyway.

most likely you'll having same experience, either with old & new machine.

ok i didn't know that, I thought it was based on Android, since ChromeOS is distributed mostly with ARM based processor.

for your funny part, been there done that, but I decide to quit, and put my effort into something else which useful for me and people around me (and Linux isn't on the list).

Android is also Linux based.

I actually still know enough about Windows to still be helpful or if I don't know something, Google is always right around the corner.
