please, help me! I'm from Brazil (sorry for my bad english) and I have the same exact problem (can't update my WiiU, error code 105-3102)... i tried to read all the posts carefully but i don't have much experience with all these terminology (ios, NUS, etc) so i couldn't find out how you solved the problem...
i'm desperate, i was searching for a solution for this for long... just found out about gbatemp today! so glad i found this community...
my current wii u version is 5.0.0 U. I have installed the homebrew channel using the smash exploit ..
some help would be really appreciated! thanks
p.s.: openning multi-mod-manager i saw that i have no ios36 installed...
that is your problem. You dont have ios (Internal Operating system) 36 installed, which does something i dont know, but it does something importaint.
You need some software: http://wiiuhax.com/released-ios236-installer-mod-v8-for-vwii/ and have some ios 36 version installed. (Idk what version, it should say in the program)
You must download ios 36 from the internet when you find the version. I will dm you one, hopefully it will work.
Once ios 36 is installed and it shows in MMM, try to update.
Sorry to just jump on a thread too but I feel like this crowd would be able to answer my question. I bought a Wii U 32gb second hand and found out after the fact the seller has bought it refurbished from GameStop. Unsurprisingly I am getting error code 105-3102 when trying to run a sytem update. My current system is version 4.0.2. I bought the Wii U so I could play games online (Mario Kart 8). I sent it in to Nintendo and they found unapproved software despite having done a system restore multiple times.
I am going to try the manual update with the Mario Kart 8 disc. Will that remove this unapproved software and allow me to do system updates in the future?
I am open to trying what was talked about in this forum but I am so far out of my depth with homebrew type software that I don't even know how to try it. Nor do I have anyway of knowing what software had been put on the console. Can anyone help kind of walk me through how to do this?
Hi Guys I think you might be able to help as I'm getting the 162-3006 error too while trying to update my WiiU to 5.3.0E.
What is the 'bad IOS/blacklisted server error' about?
I've had someone run a diagnostic test on it for free & they think it's a software problem too.
So I ran SysCheck & posted the results on a Hacksden.com & they think it's IOS15 that needs to be sorted out as it is corrupted or messed up in some way.
So does anyone know a way to reinstall IOS15 or revert it back or anything I can do to get this IOS back to it's original state?

you are going to need to get vwii ios 15 from someone but scince ios are copyrighted they cant be shared in this site. you can try downloading a regular wii ios15 via Nus but that is not recommended. try posting youre syscheck here so you can get more help here

try looking at youre vwii if you have the homebrew channel and if you don't you are probably going to install it so you can run a syscheck otherwise it will be hard for us to help
Here's my sys check

After a lot of searching I think I just need someone to PM me a vWii IOS15 that I can then install with Blue Dump Mod but it has to be vWii IOS15 not a Wii version.
Anyone out there know a place or someone who has it?
I have managed to get a vWii version of IOS 15 sent to me as a wad file.
Do I just install the wad as normal with MMM or do I need to use Blue Dump Mod?
Do you know what the name of IOS 15 is on my nand dump or the file I need to extract to use with Blue Dump Mod if this doesn't work?
Heh, sorry for bumping. Again. But, this happened to me as well. You need to try a different method, such as IndianaPWNS. IF you have any lego game, look it up to see if there is a method for it. If you can get a hold of one of those games, thats your fix
Did you try backing up completely your sd card?
Then, formatting the sd card and then installing from scratch(the beginning/a totally fresh install) everything new?
ok.im back on hbc.. new problem.. no ios36/236.tryed installing through mmm get error es addticket 1707?

Ok.. its pretty easy but risky.. i have no nand backup.. i deleted all moded iso's: 15,36,58,236,249,250 with anytitle deleter. Iso's may vary depending what youve changed.. then i disconnected all network connections and ran update from captin toad disk with sucess
... iam now with latest 5.3u firmware and still have hbc installed..
I origanally installed hbc with smash stack .after patching iso's i noticed 36 was not installed which was preventing me from using ssbb.. ssbb wouldnt even load.. so i used the bathaxx method with no issues..
Hi there, sorry to bump but I found this thread while searching for my issue. I was previously able to update the Wii U no problem but can't now. I wanted to update Smash for the DLC etc but I get error 105-3102 on the Wii U which after searching around could be related to the vWii. I think since the last firmware update I messed with homebrew (can't remember if it was before or after that last firmware before wii U 5.4.0). I was able to update Splatoon the other day though.
Checking this thread and people commenting on ios36 I thought I'd check my vWii and noticed I don't have that installed according to MMM (I do have IOS236 installed though and MMM shows currently loaded IOS as IOS236). I tried installing IOS36 via MMM and internet but it won't install and I've tried looking for a vWii version of IOS36 but the ones I've found give an error when trying to install. When I try to run Syschek Hacks Den Edition I get the issue "failed to get TMD from ios 36". Anyone able to offer some help? Again, sorry for the bump.
EDIT1:
Found another thread which helped get syscheck running by skipping ios36

EDIT 2:
OK. I feel like a massive jackass now for making an account and bumping this thread. I checked the topic list and found that other thread on this topic (sorry, I got to this one via google or a link somewhere else), that thread explained how to run syscheck etc. I then noticed that somone reccomended using another IOS in MMM to install IOS36. I had found a vWii compatible version but it wouldn't install. I though "Oh, I'll just remove all the patched IOSs (except the USB2.0 one) and install again" That didn't work BUT I checked my homebrew menu and saw the IOS236 and how it made installing IOS easier. I re-installed that one, loaded it in MMM, then tried to install IOS36. It worked. I went into Wii U mode, checked for system update and BAM worked.
Once again, sorry for the bump I feel like an idiot, don't worry but thank you people of this forum especially endoverend from that other thread.
EDIT 3: may have spoke too soon. It connected now to run the update but at the end I got error 162-3006 now. So maybe the previous error was coincidence because I had that error on my 3DS too (non modded/homebrewed).
The error comes after it has downloaded the update and tries to install it so not related to wifi issues?
EIDT4: run syscheck again and got this:

Looks like my IOS is wii IOS36 and not vIOS36. Can anyone link me to the vWii one? I can't seem to find it.
EDIT final i think: Looks like it's all ok now. I unsintalled that IOS, tried to install it from the SD card again but then when I run syschecker when it gets to "mounting SD" it crashes the Wii. I decided to give it a go updating again (as MMM showed a different version number for the IOS36) and it connected, downloaded and finished installing the update (instead of downloading then going straight to the end and giving me the error). Smash is also updating now.
