Hacking what the best wii backup launcher?

Oh I have a quick question about softmii...I did all the hacks, i did them right and whenever I shut off my Wii the light turns red. Now I know some of you may already assume that WiiConnect24 is off (it's on) and I'm connected to the internet. Is this a normal thing? It won't bother me if it is a normal thing but if I messed up on something then I would like to know.

wii connect 24 is always on unless u manually turn it off in the settings all the red light means is that ur in standby mode but if you turn ur wii off by the mains then wiiconnect24 will not be connecting you to the internet but to answer your question yes its normal unless you turn it off manually

What I forgot to mention was that before I did the SoftMii hack it was yellow/orange color, and now it's red after I did the hack so I'm just wondering if the SoftMii hack makes it red normally or did I do the hack wrong and now it's showing it red instead of yellow/orange?

well i've got softmii installed and my light is like a red/orange colour so i think it must be normal but to be honnest i never looked at the colour before i installed softmii

One of the earlier preloader versions farked up the standby mode. But honestly, never have it on.I know three people whose Wii's have overheated the GPU in this mode, and now they have black dots all over the screen, flickering in and out.

i've always left mine on standby and nouts ever gone wrong cept at the moment i need to clean my laser on it but i just can't be bothered to do it at the moment lol its takes to long to be doin it at 01:38am

Yeah, Preloader 0.25 didn't have any Standby problems (The Yelloy/Orangy light) but 0.26 it was totaly screwed up and always turned off (Red light). in 0.27 standby partially works, if you're in a game it will go into standby but other place it will probably just turn off.

And WiiConnect24 is basically always on, unless the red lights on (The Wii is totally off)... I think

i just turn my wiiconnect24 off by the settings no need for it to be i don't think unless you usually recive messages from other peoples wiis or nintendo (updates)

Or use the Forecast channel or the News Channel.

yeah true but i don't need that i use the television for that stuff or the internet oh and i supose u need wiiconnect24 on to use the internet channel lol so u do need it for quite a few things really dont ya

I used the internet channel with WiiConnect24 off. The Internet channel is differen becasue it asks the websites to send the data, not Nintendo.
