Some of you may or may not know about the extra, "secret" chapter of the Ace Attorney series (known as Gyakuten Saiban in Japan).
Behold, <a href="http://tinyurl.com/2qx2ds" target="_blank">Doki-Doki Gyakuten Saiban!</a>
I just found out about it by accident today. The website has some conflicting info. For example, it says that it was released in 2007, but then later on down it says that it's "planned for retail release at the end of 2007," as if different sections of the article were written at different times. It also says that the CERO rating (Japanese version of ESRB) is for players "15 years and up," but at the end it says "17 and up."
This game probably isn't real, since I couldn't find any other info on it. But still, I thought I'd throw this out there for shits and giggles.
I've translated the website below. If in fact this game exists, I wouldn't mind seeing a localized version. Hell, I'd even help with the translations.

『どきどき逆転裁判！』の舞台となるのは、魔女裁判制度が復活した近未来の架空の日本である。この架空の魔女裁判制度の下では、魔女の嫌疑を掛けられた者は三日間の裁判でその疑いを晴らせない限り、火刑に処せられる。プレイヤーは若き弁護士・成歩堂龍一となって、ヒロインたちに掛けられた魔女の汚名を晴らすために、手ごわい異端審問官と渡り合わなければならない。
The setting of "Dokidoki Gyakuten Saiban!" is a fictional, near-future Japan in which the witch trial system has been reinstated. Under this fictional witch trial system, anyone suspected of being a witch must clear themselves within 3 days, or be sentenced to burn. The player assumes the role of young lawyer Naruhodou Ryuuichi (US: Phoenix Wright), who must contend with the unrelenting Heresy Trial Bureau in order to clear the names of the heroines accused of being witches.

During the Court Room phase, the game progresses by touching the witches' bodies while examining the witnesses.

Also, for <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fujoshi" target="_blank">fujoshi</a> there are Prosecutor Mitsurugi (US: Miles Edgeworth) and Prosecutor Garyuu (US: Klavier Gavin) modes, a Detective Itonoko (US: Dick Gumshoe) mode, and Niboshi Saburo (US: Will Powers) Interrogation mode. In the initial release, there was also a version in which it was possible to question Ayasato Harumi (US: Pearl Fey), but due to laws against child porn, the cartridges were all recalled from store shelves and destroyed. Currently only dozens of the original release are circulated among collectors.

The gameplay of "Dokidoki Gyakuten Saiban!" is separated into two parts; there's an Investigation phase in which the player collects evidence needed for cross-examination, and the Court Room phase itself. The main Court Room phase of the game is explained below.
尋問パート [編集]
Court Room Phase
尋問パートでは魔女の嫌疑をかけられたヒロインへの尋問が行われる。尋問中に使用する主なコマンドは「ゆさぶる」と「つきつける」の二種類であり、これらのコマンドは下画面に表示されるヒロインの体へのタッチによって実行される。
For the Court Room phase of the game, the heroines accused of witchcraft are examined. The two main types of commands used during the interrogation are "Press" and "Present." These two commands are executed by touching the heroine's body on the bottom screen.
「ゆさぶる」は、尋問中の体をタッチペンのスライド機能によって「ゆさぶる」ことによりヒロインを動揺させ、より詳しい証言を得るための手段である。場合によっては新しい証言が追加されることもある。「ゆさぶる」部分と強さは、タッチペンによる直感的な入力によりアナログな選択が可能である。
With the "Press" command, the user slides the stylus across the body during the interrogation to "Press" the heroine and obtain further testimony. Depending on the situation, new testimony can be brought to light. The stylus uses an intuitive analog control, so it is possible to "Press" different body parts at varying degrees of strength.
「ゆさぶる」を繰り返した結果、ヒロインの体に決定的な「ムジュン」が表れたならば、次は「つきつける」によって、とどめとなる証拠品をその場所に突きつけねばならない。同じ証拠品でも、「ムジュン」が表れた部分によって証人の反応は異なるため、もっとも効果的な部分を探し出す必要がある。誤まった証拠品の「つきつける」、効果的でない位置への「つきつける」にはペナルティが与えられる。また、焦ってあまりに早く「つきつける」を行ってしまった場合も同様にペナルティが科される。
After repeated "Pressing," once the heroine shows definite "Contradictions" in her testimony, the player must present compelling evidence through the "Present" command. Even using the same evidence, the witness' reaction changes depending on which body part reveals a "Contradiction," so one must find the most effective body part.

2007年度末に発売が予定されている『どきどき逆転裁判！5』は、これまでのシリーズから流れを一新し、過去シリーズがあくまで、「証人の『ウソ』をみぬく」というコンセプトを重視していたのに対し、「証人の『パンツ』をみぬく」という斬新なコンセプトを採用している。新作の主人公を務めるのは、パンツ君こと河津京作であるが、この新キャラクターの詳細はまだ明らかにされていない。しかしながら現在公開されている情報によれば、河津はパンツに関わる犯罪に巻き込まれたことをきっかけにして、パンツを悪用する犯罪に対して深い憎しみを抱くようになった、勇盟大学の理工学部学生であるとされている。

「みぬく」とは、河津の一族にのみ伝わる一種の透視能力であり、河津が法廷で極度の緊張に置かれた時に表れる。「みぬく」の発動中は、通常ではありえない程の精密さで証人のパンツの「動揺」を「みぬく」ことが可能となる。このパンツの動揺を証人に指摘することにより、証人の心の動揺を誘い、証言を突き崩すのがゲームの主目的である。
"X-Ray Vision" is the ability to see through objects, and this ability can only be used by the Kawazu bloodline. Kawazu appears at moments of extreme pressure in the courtroom. When "X-Ray Vision" is activated, it becomes possible to see through the witnesses' trembling panties with extreme clarity. The main purpose of the game is to point this trembling out to the witnesses to reveal their anxiety and poke holes in their testimony.
このシステムのために、『どきどき逆転裁判！5』はCEROレーティング17歳以上対象となった。
Due to the nature of this game, "Dokidoki Gyakuten Saiban! 5" has been rated for teens aged 17 and above by the ESRB.
