REMOVED always has info on the latest supported version.
That said I wouldn't recommend updating to 9.0 yet, no games need it yet and it breaks button inputs in homebrew requiring all homebrew to be updated.

I'm currently still on 7.2 (i think, I know it's 7. something...) was wanting to update to play the DLC for a few games, so I would only go upgrade to 8...

Does 8 OFW work with SX os?

For ChoiNX -> does it need a .zip file or should I extract the .zip and copy over the contents?

Extract the zip, it will ask you to choose the folder to install.

Hah - that was my issue. I was trying to install a .zip file with ChoiNX

It's common knowledge, however I think SciresM Tweeted something about it

haha - i am so in the dark on the new. I thought according to SX OS 2.9.2 BETA worked on 9.1

I'm pretty sure this is on the homebrew devs to update there homebrew to get inputs working.

@The Real Jdbye - where did you read that updating to 9 causes issues?

On the Atmosphere releases page, as well as on ReSwitched.
But for Atmosphere specifically this has already been worked around. SX OS is always lagging behind though.
