CFW doesn't burn efuses, they occasionally get burned every few months during official updates from Nintendo.

Why would they

It is known for quite some time that SX modchips for V1 were overburning fuses, which resulted in locking units from loading OFW forever without going to RCM. Some people when tinkering with SoC hardware in all types also managed to burn all fuses.
So it can happen.

SX modchip released slightly more than 2 years ago, few months after there were first confirmed reports about those issues, so dunno about which "years" you are talking about...

People can still have those modchips installed to this date and one day it can burn all their fuses (because it was never fixed), so issue is still real and being old doesn't make it somehow disappearing

Only the early Erista models contain the Tegra X1 BootROM vulnerability. This is why ismyswitchpatched.com exists.

Then you're wrong. Nintendo patched the older erista units. And these ones which have left the factory with the rcm vulnerability, are unpatchable. Forever. Well, as long as the people doesn't send them to nintendo.
