Hacking Weird Problem W/ GBA Injects (VC on 3DS)

I didn't notice this before, but when I try playing a gba vc inject game using New Super Ultimate Injector for 3DS, the video has part of the top cut off. the top portion appears at the bottom of the screen. is there any way of fixing this? thanks

thanks, man. I'll try that. one other problem - ftp is extremely unstable. I've tried both ftpd snap! and the turbo version. the transfer starts, then stops at random places, then starts over again. it can take 5 minutes just to transfer over 10MBs. I'm pretty sure it's not the card, because it's brand new and I tested it to see if it was fake (which it's not). I never had this problem with the built in micro sd utility.

If you already tested the (empty) card with H2testw, I suggest you go through with the quadruple reformatting using all four (4) programs in that specific order. If it's 128 GB or larger, try remedying read/write performance with 64 KB cluster size.

See if the transfer rate improves when both the 3DS and computer/phone are next to the WiFi router. You'll want to ensure weak signal strength isn't the cause of the hang-ups.

Here's an alternative FTP setup: 3DShell + WinSCP (Windows) -or- AndFTP (Android)

thanks, I'll try that. the card I'm using is a 128GB micro sd. I bought it as a replacement for my original 128GB, which was kinda sluggish on the home menu. I thought it might be the size of the micro sd that was the problem, considering Nintendo suggests 32GB or below as per their website. it's not that sluggish in the home menu with this new one. also, ftpd has issues with both cards. the official micro sd management never had this problem. all of my devices, including the computer and the 3ds, are in the same room. ftpd is the only ftp app that has these problems among all other systems. 128GB seems to be right at that cusp between using 32KB/64KB cluster size, so it may take a few hours of testing.

alright, I tried 32KBs. it didn't work. then, I tried 64KBs. everything seems to be fixed now. no cut off with gba games and ftp, while a bit sluggish, didn't fail during transfer.

You could try MicroSD Management instead, it's built in on n3DS/n2DS but there is a modded CIA of it that shows up on home menu that works on o3DS/o2DS, it uses SMB file sharing, and in my experience it's faster than FTP, and works reliably (but is a pain to get working with anything other than Windows)

that doesn't seem to work without enabling smb 1.0, which has security flaws. I believe that's the reason it's disabled by default on windows 10.

Anecdotal evidence alert, but in my experience wireless transfer of files to the 3DS is pretty terrible. The system doesn't have any hardware acceleration for performing encryption/decryption of the data stream that any semi-modern protocol would use. As such, everything is done by the CPU, which is hilariously under powered and ends up being the main cause of the transfer rate bottleneck.

It's a bit of a pain (especially on the New 3DS XL), but the best/fastest solution is to just pop the card out of the system and transfer your files by plugging it into your PC. It sounds like you have a fairly large card, so you should be able to "batch" loading of files/games onto it so you don't have to do it that often.

yeah, that's what I've been doing, but it would be nice if you were only transferring something small.
