The complaint alleges that Sony Music took improper and duplicate recoupments, which resulted in royalty under payments. It also alleges the major is paying Yankovic a straight royalty for download sales instead of the 50% of revenues that a licensing deal calls for. Additionally, it says Sony Music hasn't shared any money it received from lawsuits settlements from such cites as Napster, Kazaa and Grokster.

I never thought Weird Al would sue, it just doens't seem like him.

Well he's suing for not getting money he deserves, not due to the same bullshit reasons he's been sued for.

Overall I'm sure he pursued this with good reasons. He's a funny guy with a great sense of humor and he can still pump out funny music after like what, thirty years or something?

EDIT: Either way, appropriately funny.

Sueing for something just for the sake of sueing certainly wouldn't be like him, but I say he is entitled to what his contract/deal states. I'm all for it

Sounds like he wants the rest of his paycheck he was promised and if they are gonna use the artists as a reason for the lawsuits then they should be compensated for their use.
