ROM Hack Was there ever a mod/hack made for US HG/SS to have Game Corners?

Was there a mod or hack that allowed the USA/EUR ROM Of HG/SS to have Game Corner? Voltorb Flip is shitty :/

Does the US version not include the Slot wheels? I thought, Nintendo removed them only in the PAL versions!? And Voltorb Flip isn't that bad, even if its less luck-based than the Slot wheels.

Nintendo removed them in the PAL version of Platinum, but HG/SS came later and they removed them from US there too.

You can play the Japanese Pokemon with an English translation patch.

Well, the HG/SS fan translation is notoriously crappy.

Theoretically
Couldnt one play through both japanese and english versions of the game, and just translate as they go, basically just typing the english in word for word?

well, does anybody know if it would actually work though? or what issues may need to be worked around (like length of names probly, which is easily fixed with abbreviations where necessary)

If somebody had the skills and was willing to swap the required code over from the japanese versions to the english then name limits would be one of the relatively minor issues.

Swapping the map data for the Japanese games and the English games could work.But they both probably have extra data and you would have to find the map file for the
game corners by hand.

The maps still exist in the english versions, the issue is the slots themselves appear to have been removed.

I hope to research how to do this at some point. I do know the rooms still exist in the english version, although no dialogue is present, which isn't much of a problem. If I can find a way to do it, I will, but as far as I'm aware, the only problem with this is the slot game itself not being in the localized versions, but through clever file swapping, maybe it'll work... I'm going to try my best to figure it out, but it'll probably take awhile if I do.
