Question Was the "Similar threads" feature removed?

I remember there was a similar threads feature that appeared at the bottom of the page, and when you created a new thread.

However, it doesn't seem to exist anymore, and the only remains I could find is an option in prefrences called "Collapse Similar Threads by default"

I know the feature was somewhat buggy, but was it really so buggy for it to be removed?

it is just common sense really, and it is stated that way in our internal moderator's handbook, so mods know how to handle these

I agree that it's common sense, but did you just state that users in this forums are better at knowing the common sense then the mods? I mean else it would be in the user rules, but not in the mod handbook, right?
