I have recently purchased 3 brand-new white UK-spec DS consoles from different suppliers and all of them are not recognising and/or then bricking after having a DS Real inserted into them.

When attempting to power the consoles on, the light flashes momentarily but goes no further.

The very same DS Reals (white Chinese and Grey European tested) and MicroSD cards used to test the white consoles work fine in both Black and Silver UK consoles which are a couple of months old and also a brand-new UK black console.

This seems to indicate either a faulty batch of UK white DS consoles or a deliberate design change to try and prevent these cards from being used....

Has anyone encountered problems with non-white new UK DS consoles or tried other cards (such as the DS TT) in brand-new UK white versions ?

It would be helpful for anyone experiencing this problem to provide the following info so we can identify any trend (and hopefully allow people to make a safe choice of slot 1 cart):

1. Colour of DS
2. When purchased
3. The first 3 characters of the serial number (is this is a good method of distinguishing versions?)

Not just UK mine is American and had the same problems. I suspect its just a bad batch from M3 we should get many people together and demand M3 to replace our systems.

If the OP says it worked OK in UK silver and black consoles, how can that be a M3 quality issue ???

What colour was your US one which didn't work ?

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)
