After some investigation, i discovered something:
If you patch the game with certain hex codes (provided of this patch) , you can boot the game fine, without changing the ID, and here i have which hex codes you need to patch.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Code:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
ORIGINALÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ | PATCHED
------------------------------------------------------------------------

00007568 | 01 40ÂÂÂÂÂÂ 00 90 A0 E1 | 00007568 | 03 10ÂÂÂÂÂÂ 08 E0 8F E2 |

00007578 | 07 20 A0 E1 02 3BÂÂÂÂÂÂ | 00007578 | 0B E0 3F 02 01 00ÂÂÂÂÂÂ |

------------------------------------------------------------------------
00007AC8 |ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ 08 40 2D E9 | 00007AC8 |ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ 00 00 A0 E3 |
00007AD0 | 60 00 9F E5ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ | 00007AD0 | 1E FF 2F E1ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ |
------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Blank spaces are no changes in the hex code)

The result is: WarioWare D.I.Y.(U) UORE B95D9EDF (original ID) that can boot fine.
With this info, someone can insert all this, in a extinfo.dat, to make a clean WarioWare DIY playable without any patch.

Any chance of geting a table grid layout for infolib.dat ?, Thank you...

Ninsoft Store (WFC store) is available now, but it crashes while saving a game from Ninsoft Store when using this fix. anybody knows why that happens?

PS. the save file size is changed back into 512KB after crashing, I think they might be related... nope, this happens regardless of your save file size after crashing.

Forget all I've said, it works perfectly

Can I ask what you did to get it to work? It freezes whenever I try downloading a game from the NinSoft Store.

I had to reinstall the firmware because there were existing files in my TTMemu with the extifo/savelib/infolib names. I'm still not sure where to put them, sorry for being a noob.

Hi,

I'm having trouble playing this game on my DSTT. I am using an official DSTT flashcard with the unoffcial firmware v1.17a12 on my DS Lite. I downloaded a clean version of the rom of the game and the 3 files (info, ext, save) and put those 3 files in the TTMENU folder. When I turn on my DS and load up WarioWare D.I.Y, it takes about 10 seconds to create the save then it says "loading..." at the top screen and then freezes.

I also noticed that none of my other games work when I try to play WarioWare D.I.Y. (as in they freeze when it says "loading..." at the top screen)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I said 'Yes to All' like last time, but this time it started up and had the same black screen.

It freeze when downloading microgames from the Ninsoft store, but saves correctly any custom-made games, and other games works fine. Using DSTTi unoff 1.17a12 dsi without ysmenu.

I was just about to comment on the new issue, when you download any game from the Ninsoft store it freezes when you try to save it. Using an unpatched ROM with the dat files on the "edit" and using v 1.17a12

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
