I find this kind of awkward but I was just playing No More Heroes NTSC for a good hour. The opening movie is lags and stutters but when you go to a cutscene before and after you fight the first boss, there isn't any lag in sight. Whats up with that?

think that the opening movie is a rendered movie like any game and has higher resolution and more complex graphics.

however the ones in game are with in game graphics rather than the high quality renders

NEW TEST GUITAR HERO 3

just tested this and works great on my wii, was using the wii remote and boy was it uncomfortable.....might have to invest in a guitar if it stays stable.
Maybe but the cutscene was also part of the opening. I don't think they would take the time to change it to a movie when its a cutscene. =/

What CD/burn speed etc. were you using? And what region? I heard that GH supposedly has off-track notes when used in this loader...

Edited my post settings:

Pal Wii & Pal Game burnt on a ridisc dvd-r at 8x speed. Maybe further testing will reveal the out of sync notes as i only did a couple of beginner tracks, couldnt really tell if notes were out of sync as was concentrating on controls, next time ill make sure i check that though

hmmm will have to check mine again in the morning to check mine, will post back with possible reasons.

sorry for the double post but couldnt figure out the "quote" coding properly. Im off to bed now so any more replies wont be till the morning UK time

Hmm when I try to run wiifrii with a boom blox iso, wiifrii gets an error, but if I try it with mario super sluggers it doesn't get one.

anyone care to tell me why there is an error and how to fix it?

also I get that green screen with black lines on it after using wiifrii on mario super sluggers and patching. I am using a NTSC wii with the regular cables.

NTSC 3.2 Wii
Component cables on HDTV
Imgburn set to auto speed
Maxell DVD-R from Wal-Mart

Games I have tried so far:

Resident Evil 4 NTSC works fine. Load times are great compared to the other games I have tried. Some cut scenes have no sound, but everything else is fine.

Excite Truck NTSC works fine but long load times and sluggish menus

Soul Calibur Legends NTSC works fine but long load times, some cut scenes are unwatchable and a lock up when exiting the game

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed NTSC works fine with long load times

hey i have this weird bug happening. when i try to use the backup loader the game loads fine, there is color...but the screen keepings shaking all over the place it hurts my eyes. does anyone else have this problem or has a solution?

oh yeah and ive tired the games pokemon battle revolution PAL and mario kart wii NTSC
i have the component cable and a ntsc TV

what about Freeloader with RGB cables?. Would that work? I tried patching freeloader, but it wont let me patch it.

games so far with a 250mb patched file

ea playground
london taxi rush hour
]

i think that happened to me once, but then i just re-patched it, and it was the right size.
i was thinking somehow it was interupted.
Tried it a few times but no luck.
even with the GUI .
its a strange one, as there are reports on the wiki site that london taxi rush hour works?
Try closing down all applications that were running during your first patching. Stuff like Firefox, torrent clients, MSN, Winamp, etc. and then try again.

Dang still the same. some games show up fine, others just showing as around 250mb. the mind boggles.

Jesus THIS HAS BEEN ANSWERED IN THE THREAD ALREADY FOR GODSSAKE PEOPLE the patcher seems to REMOVE the dumby data thus your left with essentially A SCRUBBED ISO just burn the fucking thing itll work
thanks for getting to the point!!

answer for your instructions, is. FRISBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

one white topped frisbee. Don't worry, this s my last post with regards to the 250mb(ish) file. if i get one from now on. i'll ditch it an pick a new game.

Cheers

So I read that the reason for the black and white is because the game is NTSC. However, I read in this thread that people have been able to patch it from NTSC to PAL and it works. I used RegionFrii to patch Star Wars: TFU to PAL and I still get black and white. Is this just because I'm on an NTSC TV with the regular AV cables or is there a particular program I need to patch it to PAL with?

Ok I am trying to get no more heroes and endless ocean to work.

Burned at 2x in imgburn on TDK+R's with An Asus drive. NTSC 3.3U wii with standard cables.

I have changed the region to pal tried it with the smart mode video, and not changing the video mode at all. every time it boots, but hangs at a black screen.

Do I need the better cables or is there something I am doing wrong?

^^ you might need to let it sit for a while. my house of the dead does that. i let it sit for like 5 minutes and it starts up (slow loading)

I'm always updating my post with games I've tested...

Super Paper Mario was the last game tested, and it works perfectly.

If your TV does not support PAL signal (which seems to be the case), there's nothing you can do to get a proper image with the backup loader, sorry.

just tested my PAL guitar hero 3 again on my PAL wii, and didnt appear to have any out of sync notes at all.....

Pretty sure the out of sync notes is happening on the "GH3 Custom" discs (i could be wrong though)
