^^ you might need to let it sit for a while. my house of the dead does that. i let it sit for like 5 minutes and it starts up (slow loading)

I let it sit overnight, and it never loaded. I do find it odd that my wiimote never disconnected though.

One Piece: Unlimited Cruise NTSC-J converted to PAL with WiiFrii

Works perfectly. Long load times at initial startup but once into the game it barely lags at all apart from when switching out characters and opening the menu, but only very slightly. Also FMVs (I think the game has about 3 and theyre all skipable) are slightly choppy.

Updated Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition [PAL] information:
QUOTE said:
Hardware: PAL Wii with 3.3E Firmware
Media used: Imation DVD-R (I've been told they don't work very well. Read the end of the post for more information.)
Software used: Nero and/or ImgBurn
Burn Speed: 4x

NOT WORKING = Freezes at a Black/Gray/Green Screen
NOT PLAYABLE = Freezes in-game or during loadings.
PLAYABLE = Game playable with no/minor bugs.

Games:
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaishi 3 [PAL] - NOT WORKING [Green Screen. Test will be re-run with TDK/Verbatim discs.]
NiGHTS Journey of Dreams [PAL] - NOT PLAYABLE [Freezes after the 'Sonic Team' logo. Test will be re-run with TDK/Verbatim discs.]
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition [PAL] - PLAYABLE [Backup Creator will make an 'unknown' ISO type. Visit this post to get a workarround. Thanks dazz159!| Buggy sound in cutscenes.]

WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2008 [PAL] - NOT PLAYABLE [Freezes at the first loading screen. Test will be re-run with TDK/Verbatim discs.]
I'll re-run all the tests using TDK or Verbatim disc as soon as I get my hands on them.

After that, the next ISOs I'll download/test are:
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn [PAL]
Mahou Sensei Negima - Neo Pactio Fight [NTSC-J]

That's it for now.

this invalid iso happened to me too, I just burnt it with Nero instead and it worked perfectly. In fact, I've used nero from then on.

One Piece Unlimited Adventure

Also NTSC-U version works....after patching PAL with WiiFrii.....same loading and stuttering problems....but, for the rest, very good...

I used Nero to burn it at first, but I was stuck with a green screen. I made what dazz159 told me and it is now working perfectly. I think you can try both approaches, but it's good to have a workarround if you're stuck

I think I understand everything here!
I'm new here, but defenitely not a noob^^
The only thing I want to know now is:
What's the recommended burn speed?
I read here things about 2x 3x 4x 8x
Wich one is the best?

I still don't get one thing....
but the patcher, the backup-creator.exe ......does it block updates or not??
If a game (like Wario Land) has a newer update, but I don't want to install it....do I have to brickblock the iso before patching, or the patcher blocks the update in the iso???

Sorry for the double post, but I just got a little update. I used dazz159's tip and I was able to run Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaishi 3 [PAL]. It still freezes after loading the battle, possibly because of the Imation discs. Will be re-tested with the other ones.
I decided to keep on trying the ISOs with Imation DVD-R.
I'll still re-run all the tests using TDK or Verbatim disc as soon as I get my hands on them.

Slower burns are always better, however I have successfully burned StarWars TFU at 8x. So its pretty much up to you...

Not sure if it patches it or not, but there are many people that are using BrickBlock anyway. So I'd say if you want to be sure then run BrickBlock before you put it through the BackupCreator. To my knowledge the BrickBlock doesn't really take that long anyway...

nope, burn it at the highest (or 2nd highest) your media is rated, assuming your drive supports it.
dvd burning is not the same as high speed cd burning.

Did anybody try to patch London Crazy Taxi and it stopped at 253 Mb

My Iso was 400 mg compressed, I unrard it....lol and it came out to 4 gigs but when i patched it the above happend

Thanks!

NTSC 3.2 Wii
HDTV with Component Cables
Imgburn Set to Auto Speed
Maxell DVD-R from Wal-Mart

When I play an original copy of a game it looks fine, but when I play one of these backups (any that I have made) they look ok but are more grainy and a little pixelated. Anyone else seeing this?

Remember that this loader cannot be expected to be perfect in it's pre-beta phase. It could be because of the slow read speed, but I can't say for sure.

Yea, I know it's still an unofficial beta. But I just wanted to bring it up in case someone else notices it, they would know that they aren't alone.
