There's no real need to play them in order. They all take place in the same world, but the stories are all pretty self-contained. The only real difference is QOL stuff.
 
@CornStarch Ok so that was accurate, good. is there all that much of a change if I do find or eat it on #1 where it will feel jarring going back then?

Also I work a lot of hours, is there a solid site with maybe some overworld maps I can reference? I don't want to outright slow walk the thing using a guide ruining things. If you saw the finds threat I stumbled across Dragon Warrior 4, 3 and Krion Conquest among others a week ago now, and I'm working on 4 and have the OG guide for it, but just using it on maps as a refernce to compare.
 
@VmprHntrD I don't think there's too much of a QOL difference between Swordcraft 2 and Swordcraft 3. The first game has more of a different feel, but not much of a difference gameplay-wise. I personally prefer the first game over the second. I'm biased about the third, so it's hard to compare it with the other two.

There are no guides with maps that I know of. We've used a couple Japanese guides for reference, but none of them had maps.

@CornStarch fair enough. One to slug through like the old days, though using something like the analogue pocket or gb operator I could hot save myself out of a headache I suppose with a lack of even a basic map which is fine. The 30min I did touch it before the game seemed to have a pretty decent combat mechanic that kept it more fresh.

Hey all, this is a big one. The translation project is nearly finished. Right now, two proofreaders who are very talented are individually looking over the script as a whole. I think the current script is pretty solid, but I've seen their improvements and I believe there is merit in delaying the project for a bit longer. It's mostly slight rewordings that avoid repetitious filler words like "Okay", "yeah", "of course", etc. while also improving general readability. I think the patch is coming together pretty good. I spoke with both of them and we worked out a deadline.

The patch should be completely finished by this date. I know it seems a bit later than you may expect. There's a few reasons for that. First of all, I don't expect it to take nearly that long. It's not exactly the deadline we worked out. I gave it ample padding just in case. Also, people in the Discord may know this, but November 5th marks 1 year since I inherited leadership of the project from Zelly_9191. So the date is more of a decoration, than anything. We will release the patch when it is finished, which will be on or before this date.

We all agreed that if they cannot finish their edits by the deadline we set, then we will release the patch in it's current state. Subsequent edits will be released as an update. I wouldn't worry too much on that front. They both work better with a deadline and they are none too fond of having their edits in a bonus update. So I have confidence they will pull through.

The next update I put in here will be when we are finished. We are in the final stretch! As I said in a previous update, the patch will be hosted on Github and in the Discord server.

Best Birthmonth Ever, I even goT my ticket on MCR concert. lol and this is a plus, I already Done 2x back when I was a child the part 1 and 2, and its so hard to me to play part 3 using 2 phones for google translate. Hey can i support the Dev even just for their coffee?

As I said, the next update would be when we finish. So I'm here to tell you that we've finished! We are going to release the patch in 7 days hopefully. The delay is more to build hype for the Discord server. So I apologize for that.

The patch will be primarily released in two spots. The Discord server and on our website.

Yes there is a download button. No it will not work. I'll post another update here in about a week when everything on the site should be functional.

We will also have a Github page setup for another alternate download and so people can report bugs they find there.

I'd also like you to know that we will continue working on the patch. We still have a couple proofreaders who are making improvements to the script, but the patch is in good quality overall, so we're releasing it soon. But there will be future updates when they finish their updates and if we have to do any bug fixes.

Holy shit, I never thought this would see the light of day. Been following this translation for literally YEARS thinking it would never release.
