hello everyone, new user and first post here on this overwhelmingly informative site...

my family and i have been using flashcards for years now, and have tossed our old r4 cards in favor of n5 cards. (no smacktalk please, they have proven far more reliable and dont freeze at all on 4 different ds's with n5 or n5i, where all 4 old r4s froze on all 4 dslites/ dsi's) i also use an acekard 2 with my dsi xl (v1.4.1) and i love that too. i may try some other cards talked about in these forums someday though. although i would love to understand and become part of the developer community for these fine firmwares and such, i have to admit, i got bored with coding and dont wish to learn that stuff anymore, and appreciate instead the high quality work of you fine professionals. i do understand a fair amount of the firmware aspects of stuff but heres my problem:


i just got my ak2 working with my backup super scribblenauts so i know its a working rom, but when i go to put it on my n5 card, it def doesnt work with the firmware i was using. so i read about wood working with it so i download and play around a bit before i discover WAIO and get that on there as well. i run the nds, discover i also need the rpg file for the skins and such, get that on there and now i get this message, with every rom, not just SSN. (please excuse any typos, i hope you guys know i tried my best to type this letter for letter) (also i substituted the rom name for **** cuz its the same for each rom on the SD)

i even copied the extlink.dat file and mshl2wrap files from the fake_mshl2 folder i downloaded thinking it would have the correct ext files (or ini files, i forget what im looking for as i type this) i seem to be missing. what am i missing and where do i get them? i hope by reading my post yall can tell i did a lot of searching on this enormous thread and i hope anyone out there can help me get on the right track...

edit afterthought: i use r4 firmware all the time on my n5 (thanks to getting an r4 YSMenu autoloader working on it) so i shouldnt have any trouble using the r4 WAIO firmware either, right?

I tried it, first thing i did was try to load Pokemon Black English V4, gave me an error.
Now each time i boot it it automatically loads pokemon black and gives me the error again.

Hello everybody,

i've got kind of problem here . I already loaded the waio.rar and extract the files. I have the same problem like croagunk master on page 31 in that topic: WAIO - WoodAllInOne, Wood GUI on all flashcart. my card has this url www.r4ultra.com. i have a black card with a sdhc logo on it and i use a 8gb sdhc card. i already tried everything Xenon++ is suggesting in his posts but i can't get it running. could anybody help me??

Hello,

This is my first post and i am also new to flashcarts. With little research i bought an r4 card called r4 Renovation Revolution v2.10t (http://www.r4r4i.com/pages/R4-DS-SDHC-V2.10T-Guide.html). I downloaded the latest kernel v2.10t09 and the WAIO. I extracted all of these files to my 2GB SD Card with FAT16 Format, putting the contents of the build folder on the root of the card. I turn on my ds lite and the menu comes up all of the files come up, everything works okay. However, i dont know what to do from there, i tried to follow the instructions and downloaded the patched rom from here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzpHDUBVEFklow), but once i booted the WAIO.nds and the pkmnw.nds i got an error message:

init rom succ
fat0: /pkmnw.nds
load (fat0: /pkmnw.nds) fail

What can i do? simple instructions would be nice im not too familiar with all of this stuff. Also, i can start the rom from the menu without booting WAIO first, but when i do it begins to load and the says:

load rom errcode=-5

Please reset system

You can use cheats on waio you need to put it in the rpg folder and press y over the rom you want cheats on and make sure u have cheats for that game on

It's AK clone story... DSTT clone won't have cheats unless you boot rom from YSMenu
