"Turns out some variants of this cart does in fact need bloating, so the inflator has returned..."

lol what? Are they enforcing specific arm binary sizes or something? :P
I don't even know what's up with it at this point. It really doesn't like smaller-than-specific size, and no one has actually found out what said specific size is. And the behaviour is different depending on the cart.

@Xenon++ back in the day put some random hardcoded value, and that was known to be working, so I'm sticking with it.

Excuse me I want to know if it's possible to autoboot a game rom directly on a r4 card from r4isdhc,com,cn without opening r4 menu? Thanks in advance.

Nope, it doesn't work. You can only boot games from the kernel designed for your flashcart.

Microsoft is a massive publisher now so drivers will obviously be best for Windows Linux is more best for older systems with potential
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@False_Hope, Linux operates on its own frameworks that use far less resources and it's less harsh on performance.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    So technically yes.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Yeah but most games are intended to run around exe

I wonder if it could run like... Splinter Ceell Chaos Theory?

@AncientBoi, It's unsupported currently according to ProtoDB: https://www.protondb.com/app/13570

If you got an older system Linux might be preferred but newer hardware I'd stick with windows

So you'll have to sideload alongside Windows. You can have one partition for Windows and another for Linux.

Lutris can be a pain in the dick to use and figure out settings
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
As for virtual machines, they're not generally the best for playing games due to limitations. Closest would be SoftGPU which are third-party drivers for graphics.

@AncientBoi, If it's already installed, it does tell you to remove the installation media afterwards such as the USB stick or DVD that you installed LM with.
