Homebrew wad manager 1.6(i'm an idiot)

i have been trying for two hours to get wad manager 1.6 installed. where does it go on my sd card? in the apps folder? wad folder?

you can rename it to boot.dol and banner bomb it or put it in a new folder in apps and use hombrew channel
ps: your *.wad files go in the wad folder

The wad manager boot.dol goes into SD:/apps/wad_manager/
the dol must be named boot.dol or it won't work

yes. i want to be able to put my wiiflow on the menu so i don't have to go thru homebrew channel everytime. where do i extract the wad manager files to?

ok. i have wad manager installed now. i installed the star night forwarder and a couple others but everytime i click onthe channel it starts up and then shuts down and goes back to the main menu. what do i do now?

thats because they are forwarders not channels

forwarder load the app off the SD/USB to save you from going thru the HBC

just place the wiiflow app on the SD then use the forwarder again

SD:/apps/Wiiflow/boot.dol

otherwise install the channel not the forwarder

i already have the wiiflow on the sd card(i think). maybe knowing the contents of my sd card might help.

inside the apps folder i have 3 folders-WAD Manager V1.6,WiiflowR25_222 and WiiflowR25_249

the root of the SD should have a folder saying

apps NOT folder-apps

inside the apps folder make a new folder called

Wiiflow(or whatever you want it to be)

inside this folder rename wiiflow's *****.dol to boot.dol

HBC will see the new app and the forwarder should now see the app as well but most forwarders tell you what path the boot.dol needs to be in

example, WiiFlow

SD:/apps/Wiiflow/boot.dol
USB:/apps/Wiiflow/boot.dol

If it loads from SD:/apps/Wiiflow/ like pepxl says, you'll need to rename WiiFlow_249 or WiiFlow_222 to just Wiiflow or it won't work

read the second part

the forwarder should now see the app as well but most forwarders tell you what path the boot.dol needs to be in

rename which version you want to Wiiflow

so WiiFlow_222 or WiiFlow_24 to just Wiiflow

bare in mind this is a rule for all forwarders, if you dont have the correct path the forwarder will reboot to the System Menu. Most forwarders come with a readme.txt or information at the source that explain the paths of the forwarder and mostly come with several paths that can be used
