I have a wii fully modded and have external memories full of games which are in my flash drive and 2 sd cards.
I am now considering of installing wiiware games in my wii but what i want is to install the games in my SD card and not in my wii's internal memory

So my question is, if I use WAD Manager, will the wads install in my SD card? Or will it install in my internal memory

IF the wad installs in my internal memory, what can i do to install and store the game in my SD Card Instead?

AND ALSO correct me if im wrong, the process for installing wiiwares consist of downloading WAD Manager, having an SD Card, adding a wad folder and putting the wad files in the wad folder, and then proceed to installing the wads in the wii itself. Am I correct? If not, please help me and clarify the process

WADs will install to the System Memory or the SD card if you choose to.

I don't know which I should use but I was planning on using wii mod lite or wad manager v1.7.

Any recommendations to use?
Use Multi-Mod Manager, its much more stable. Can I see a SysCheck report/log, to see what cIOS version you have?

@Savverlite323

Your "problem" is easy to fix.

First: You'll need an SD card or USB and a Wad Installer. My preferred one is WAD MANAGER MOD1.8.

Secondly: You'll need IOS60.wad in the latest version. To get IOS60.wad, google "NUS Downloader" and download your IOS60.wad with that Windows software. IOS60.wad will enable SD Channel.

After you're done installing IOS60.wad, you're free to go.

The Wii Menu has only 528MB of internal memory, so, installing WiiWare and Virtual Console games requires your Wii Menu to have at least 300 blocks of free space. This means that once you're installing your wads, you can install up to a maximum of 6/8 games per time until your Wii Memory fills out, then you'll have to transfer those channels to your SD. Repeat as many times as you need to install your wads.

DO US ALL A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS POPULAR WIIWARE GAME NAMED "WII DEV MENU". DON'T INSTALL THAT ONE.

Also, make sure you install wads of the same region of your console.

WAD MANAGER MOD sometimes can hang in the middle of wad installations from USBs.

WAD files can be anywhere in your memory, as most WAD Imstallers lets you navigate folders.

If your WAD installation brings any kind of errors during installation, uninstall the wad (yes even if it didn't finished installing) with the same WAD and try again.

Once you're done installing WADS delete them from your SD.

Do not attempt to make SD backups of your private folder (a folder created by the Wii to store channels and other stuff). Most of the times creating a backup/copy or restoring a backup/copy of the private folder, will break some games. This means that to backup your channels you must backup the original wad file, not the private folder.

Why are you telling him to install ios60?

@op, if u plan on installing wiiware via wads to your sd card menu, you'll need a patched system menu ios (ios80). Also your cios 251 is out of whack, but not a big deal tbh.

Drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe and it will tell you what to do

Oh, it's IOS80?
Isn't IOS80 required for HBC only?

Thanks, although I had just learned that if I don't use emunand, there's a chance that my wii could get bricked and I am avoiding that at any cost despite having a spare unit.

So with that being said, would it be prefered that I should use an EmuNand instead of installing the wads directly to my Wii?

And It was said that Vimm's Lair is 100% safe but I can't risk my wii from being bricked.

If it is prefered to have an emunand, How do I create an EmuNand?? I kept seeing lots of posts in regards to usb loader gx that seems to be easier, but at the same time, gets me confused everytime as I kept seeing that i need to
""go to settings>custom paths>Nand Emu Channel Path(click on folder icon), to name your folder, you need to name it: "EmuNAND Channel Folder""

But I don't even see a folder that's need to be named, and WHAT IS THE FOLDER I NEED TO NAME?????

AND How do I even get an EmuNAND???

That is all that I need to say in regards to my concern, I do hope that any of you could help me with this matter of mine :(

P.S.

I forgot to mention but when I use usbloader gx and extract nand to emunand, it stays at banner.bin for hours without moving

And I also want to confirm that is bootmii installed in ios254 version really not ok for NEEK? I saw one post saying it does but im not sure if it was from an old post

I'm sorry if my questions are too much, I just want to make sure I am not doing anything wrong, considering from my many many bad trials I am done with bad results.

I think it's IOS 036, but I could be wrong.

but an expert like @XFlak will tell you more.
I remember it being IOS60.
I assumed OP wanted to load games from SD Channel which is why I suggested to install IOS60.

But I think OP has changed his mind at using emuNAND (actually a smart choice). So... yeah.

The system menu ios. So ios60 on 4.1, 70 on 4.2 and 80 on 4.3. But if the content is fakesigned then the system menu ios needs to be patched too.

OP can build a fresh/virgin emunand using modmii, or extract a nand.bin bootmii backup using modmii/showmiiwads or whatever. Usually they get saved to SD or usb:/nands/whatevername/<emunand goes here>

ModMii will automatically create it in an appropriate structure. Then you'll need to adjust gx settings to point it to your emunand.

You should always install bootmii as IOS, and if possible also install it as boot2. No issues with neek.
