VisualBoy, Zelda, and Sound Channels

    When I use both the latest VisualBoy and VisualBoy Advance with the GB Zelda games (Link's Awakening and Oracles, not the GBA one), toggling sound channels doesn't seem to work. It does nothing unless I switch them on/off before starting up the games, but then, loading a save state resets them. I know that some other emulators can do this properly but I'm looking for a way to record sound effects using the emulator's wave-logging feature. Any help = appreciated!
