Hacking USB Loaders Aren't Booting in HBC

Up until last night, I was a-playin' my recently downloaded Mario Kart Wii off of USB Loader GX, but then this morning my cousin, who swears he knows the Wii inside side and out, re-updated my Wii to 4.2.
Yeah, I know.
So now I can't run GX or any other USB loader. I'm trying to reload some of the stuff on my micro SD, but I don't really know what to do...

your prolly missing all your cios. look up the simplistic mod and follow that to get your wii back to working
