maybe the usb bus is dead? I don't remember if I asked you to try other homebrew (wiixplorer, wiimc, etc. but they use IOS58)
but I think it can detect, mount and list files, right? so it's not a usb problem. If the problem is only when launching a game it's more likely an IOS issue.
did you try to reinstall d2x cIOS v8 final ? or d2x r52 (not r53). v10 has an additional fix for hdd detection compared to v8, maybe it can help in your case.

"same as urg" what?
please be more specific what is your issue, previous users always have lot of issues.
you don't see game, it freeze, it reboots, or all the three at the same time? if you "can't see game" it's actually not possible to launch it so it can't possibly freeze or reboot either.

Also, your setup is outdated.
you are using d2x v9 (beta)
you can either downgrade to d2x v8, or update to d2x v10 r52
do not update to d2x v10 r53 (which is identical to v9 beta)

I got the same problem which I cannot use either one of the USB loader to read games from external USB2.0 enclosure.

With USB Loader GX, setup Loader IOS to 58 and Game IOS to 249 can see the games in drive but can not start(always back to homebrew after start the game title)
For the other two usb loader(Wiiflow and CFG), cannot read the game from USB drive.

I have mix tried v8 v9 v10_r53/r53 with and cIOS249/56/57 or cIOS250/56/57 even cIOS251/58 or cIOS249/58.
But no luck at all with the cIOS above.

Now I find one solution from another thread somewhere, using only one SDHC card.
I use the FAT32 SDHC 16GB memory with game and apps in it.
Install IOS58/6176 and cIOS249/57 only.
It works with CFG(but I have to change the FS to SDHC after USB detection failed everytime). Games work with no problem.
The other two loader which USB loader GX seems does not support SDHC with Game and Wiiflow is very slow to start the game although it works with SDHC too.

I have to admit that I am defeat too because I have tried 3 different USB enclosure and no luck.
Still waiting for any possible solution.

which enclosure are you using?
if it's assimilated to HUB, it will not work.
don't you have any real external HDD?

get a Western Digital "Element", or "my passport".

I have three different enclosures, none is from the vendor original like WD Seagate.

Since it is work ok with my 64GB SDXC card now.

I will stay with the SDXC card and CFG loader now.

Thanks a lot for your help. I will try WD original external HDD if I can borrow one from my friend.
