The US military is a lot more than just racist. Don't Ask Don't Tell is one of the most bigotted policies I've seen. Not to mention they didn't let women serve in the military for a while, and even then they can't be ground troops.

Interesting fact, my dad said if I join the military I'll be automatically out of his will. True story.
