And before someone says "But who's this "morgan" person?! [IMG]", that's Morgan Haro, Hudson US's brand manager.

    It isn't.
The worst part is that Hudson Soft, the actual developer, will now be a SOCIAL GAMES DEVELOPER!
    >:
I guess we can expect Bomberman to become a Facebook/GREE game sometime soon.
At least the developers that worked on the Mario Party series work at Nintendo now.

I'm really sad to hear this news. Lots of great people in that company. They always had my support.

At first I was like "OH NO! NOT HUDSON SOFT!" Then I remembered they haven't had anything good or really worthwhile in North America outside of Lost in Shadows for the longest time.

I don't really care, only loss is another new Bomberman game since I doubt they'd pursue another Lost in Shadows game. But it's Bomberman, there's like a million versions of it around.

And it will be sorely missed... NOT. Just play the DS one on the 3DS if that prospect bothers you so much, cheaper and no gimmicky 3D blocks being hit out of the screen towards you each time you roll the dice.

Well, Mario Party is owned by Nintendo, so there is gonna be more. Hudson was just publishing it, Nintendo can find a new publisher.

Just because Hudson Entertainment is dead doesn't mean other publishers can acquire the rights to popular game titles. Hudson Entertainment is dead, Hudson Soft. isn't.

Every time a game studio closes and it's not the Sonic Team, I want to punch somebody in the throat.

Thanks for Creature Defense, Hudson. Easily one of my most revisted PSP games, and it was a bargain.

Uh no. Hudson was the developer, and Nintendo the publisher.
BUT, the part of Hudson that developed the Mario Party series now works under Nintendo, like I said.
They were the ones who developed Wii Party.

So I guess this means no new Bonk... as in Bonk Brink of Extinction? [IMG]

Yes but Hudson Soft is now focused on "social games"

It's always sad to see a developer go. I really enjoyed the Bomberman spin off titles for the DS, and the Bomberman series in general :/

But as has been mentioned, the former president and other key employees left Hudson Soft to form ND Cube, the developers behind Wii Party, so I doubt Mario Party/Wii Party is going anywhere. I'd love to see a Mario Party for the 3DS, especially if it supported online play and SpotPass features.
