Hacking upgrading from 3.4u

Whats the best way to upgrade from 3.4u to 4.1

The wii is currently softmodded has cios249v10 and hermes v4 cios's

I thought maybe modmii, but that looks like it wants me to update pretty much every ios, ( not sure if thats needed)

There is no bootmii or priiloader installed, i know i dont need to update the system menu just need to know which ios's
i need to have the functionality of 4.1.

Use ModMii
Say wour wii is a virgin and everythig will be up to date and working
