In only 2 months you made a fantastic progress with NesDS

0.3 version was very crapy, but I was using it because I haven't any alternative. Then you arriver and made many great updates

You fixed touchscreen, added many games support, Ni-Fi multiplayer, better sound quality, multi save slots and many many more :)And that took you only 2 months! I'm proud, when I'm using NesDS. Thanks to you huiminghao!!!

I'm very impatiently waiting for new updates

And i can't imagine what happen to NesDS in next 2 months, yikes!

I feel the same way, even though I have a PSP now, about how great all the updates were, which is why I wish he would have stayed in the homebrew bounty and gotten something back for all of his hard work

But huminghao has his reasons, I suppose, and I won't go delving into them.

When I play with Akumajou Densetsu the screen shakes when there is a vertical scrolling.

I just fixed it. You will need waiting for the next release. What I did also fix the same problems with other games, e.g. TMNT, which does not have a vertical scroll but also shakes.

Something about this bug... There used to be 113 cpu-cycles in one scan-line. I modified it into about 120. It seems that the NES could not be able to handle the h-blank interrupt in 113 cycles, which would not happen on a real NES. Maybe some calculations are wrong with nesDS, and I have no idea about that now....

Okay, I've gone back and tried renaming my state saves to match up to the new slot system, and it still doesn't work. I get one of two things happen: 1. either it doesn't recognize the save (the same thing will happen if the save is not renamed) or I'll get a black screen and nothing. Sigh. Am I the only one having this problem?! I'd hate to lose my saves.

I have already read your report on sf.net and done something for it.
Big Nose Cave Man I: fixed. wait for the next release.
Big Nose Cave Man II: I did not get this game, not tested.
Big Nose Freaks Out: Not work yet.
Magic Jewelry II: Even virtuanes does NOT support mapper216.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: It works fine. Try the display menu.
The Fantastic Adventure of Dizzy: Same with Big Nose Cave Man I
Micro Machines: Try pure-soft
168 in 1/ 5 in 1/ 4 in 1: I do not like them.
Duck Tales: Try SP-pertile
Tiny Toons Adventure: Try SP-pertile

Did you know there is a 'Display' menu? If you want to figure out the updates, you can read the posts here or read the help_doc on sf.net.

Tell me the version number of the old nesDS. Save files older than 0.4x are not compatible with latest nesDS. You can send your save file to me, I may convert it to a new one.

Big Nose Caveman II Doesnt Exist, It was just second bug in Caveman

I'm very happy because you fixed my favourite Games - Big Nose and Dizzy, it is so awesome, many thanks again! I will check later pure soft, now Im going back to bed

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, Duck Tales, Tiny Toons Adventure while using SP-pertile are working well. I Forgot about display menu,my bad

Micro Machines with Pure-Soft doesn't have graphic glitches, but game doest't work smooth :/

I was playing Magic Jewelry II with my pal using FCEUX 2.1.4a here proof http://imageshack.us/m/534/1858/magicjewelryii.png

well save files from 0.46a aren't working on 0.5a so I dunno. Some of my old saves are from before your updates though.
I'll consider the conversion offer...

Ni-Fi works flawlessly from what I've tested so far.
Did you try the 0.50a2? It is slightly better than 0.50a... A wired communication will works better..
A better way to do multi-playing is that both the players watch the 1P's screen. The 2P needs to check the packages on nifi, while 1P does NOT. That's why the 2P's screen is delayed. The delay for wifi/nifi is too high for establishing a synchronous link.

QUOTE(huiminghao @ May 17 2011, 05:12 PM) e... GOOGLE said that libelm is for wii only....
lol yeah. But as far as I know, the Wood kernels, AKAIO, and avenir have added it to their stuff, and it works (dunno what they had to change to make it work...pointers?...magic stuff xD)
I did not know that. Hope that the libelm would work better.

I made an account just so I could reply to this thread ^^
I love the new NesDS and it works really well for me. The only game thus far that still is a little funky for me is RoadBlasters. It's playable, but important graphics like the cars, items, and helicopter are all jumbled.

thanks!

Well, I did say that I thought it looked flawless.
The only multiplayer games I have are Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3
The multiplayer in those games is pretty much "take turns finishing levels."

yeah, I can't imagine any problem whatsoever on turn-based multiplayer, which accounts for what? Half the 2 player games?

0.50b is released.

About a crazy thing....
I have a Ubuntu running on my PC.
VirtualBox runs a virtual machine, which has a WinXp in it.
Run the No$GBA on that system.
Run nesDS in No$GBA.
Emulate the Super Mario in nesDS.....
Funny playing nes games this way...

Still getting device failed on my M3 Lite =\
This info is shown when the nesDS is not patched with dldi or the dldi patch does not work.
You may need to patch nesDS manually...
