How am I supposed to run a .tar.gz archive on my DSTwo?

you unzip it with something like winrar or 7zip until you get nesds.nds and nesds.ini
Ah, this must be because I only set 7zip to read .zip, .rar and .7z

I noticed that the released 0.48a is 3 SVN revisions newer than when huiminghao originally announced its release. Is the problem in Punch-Out fixed?

I'm not talking about the garbled GFX problem, I was talking about the freezing problem people were reporting earlier.

That's what I thought. Yes, it's fixed.

One of those revisions was just the Readme file being updated.

So does Mike Tyson's Punch Out work with this version? What about the Kunio games?

QUOTE(huiminghao @ Apr 5 2011, 10:10 AM) New version released. 0.48a Check it form SVN.
The original software-rendering is re-added. Please test it with Punch-Out...
Today is the last day of the 'Qing Ming' holiday in China. I have to back to my work....
The fds sound would be added after a long~~~long time..... I guess..
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! works great with the Pure-Soft render.

I have a few requests. First, the change rendering hotkey only switches between per-scanline and per-frame, please add the psoft renderer to the list of things that hotkey cycles through. Second, please add support for changing the hotkeys to change the screen (L+Up and L+Down) to the .ini file. Finally, if possible consider adding auto frameskip (and speedhack) support to the software renderer rather than always using a frameskip of 3.

Oh, and thanks for another great release.

I don't really want anything else apart from the fix for the slow menus.

I'd like FDS sound, but if it takes a while I don't mind if you don't put it in.

1. Ok.
2. Ok.
3. I think frameskip 3 is the best value now. Auto frameskip would not work well when you really need a soft-render. Speedhack... If a game never checked the sprite0 hit flag or interrupts mid-frame, then the speedhack is useful, BUT the soft-render is unnecessary because those games are too simple to use it.

Also, support for that FM synth channel (I think it's what it's called) would be nice.
Since that sound channel isn't supported, a lot of the sound effects in Legend of Zelda are missing.

Any word on Nobunaga's Ambition 2. Tried it again with the latest 48a with no success... Changed to pure soft render (which I'd hoped might have some effect, but alas, none), Changing any other setting, reseting the game, etc... everything I've tried, no change. Still nothing but garbled text based graphics (where artwork *should* be).

At this point, that and faster rom list loading are only two things I care about. As I know a lot of people are requesting the faster rom list loading, I'm expecting that to be more likely fixed, but I really hope Nobunaga's Ambition 2 can be fixed as well.
