Set in the 1960's during the Cold War in the jungles of Soviet Russia, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is a prequel which sees you play out the prophetic journey exploring the origins of Solid Snake. Your mission is to single-handedly infiltrate the jungle and military bases contained within it to rescue a scientist. He is being forced against his will to develop a self-contained mobile nuclear launch platform called the "Shagohod", which could trigger a third world war. Commanded by the maniacal Colonel Volgin, you must face not only his entire renegade army, but also your former mentor, The Boss, and her elite unit of freakish super soldiers known as the Cobras.

Great review pal. Really enjoy your writing style, very personal and earthy.
I'm sure the game plays a lot better with the CPP

Thanks for the review. I read the nintendo power review today, and while I'm aware they wouldn't dare be wholly truthful, I can now see just how much they sugar coated it.
They did mention the iffy controls without a cpp and a mention of a couple camera problems. Other than that, they were concentrating on how badass making your own camp is and the game being amazing. No mention of huge framerate drops. Guess ill wait til this hits the bargain bin if I pick it up at all

OMG the best just got better! ;O;

There are no letters in the alphabet high enough to rate this spectacular review now! :sad:

***++ review!
With that rating, I feel I must marry your review. Please get it a proper wedding dress immediately.

Sad that the CPP didn't really change anything.

Well actually I did say it does improve things a fair bit, but there are still issues with the game regardless, even with the CPP controls.

*inserts shamelessly self promoting statement about his review*

    I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    @Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
