Thanks, works like a charm! But the booters has some annoying tv flickering when they load, i would like to use the comex loader that has no flickering, can you add it to this wonderful program?

Well then you just need to change the base wad...

Here how program operates...

1. Unpacks base.wad
2. Copies the selected boot dol (usb loader) and patches it -> unpack folder
3. Copies the banner -> unpack folder
4. Packs the wad...

So if you change the base.wad you'll also be changing the nandloader (2.app)

I don't know if you've dropped development of this app, but I have a feature request if you haven't:
  • Set default Title ID to Disc ID with the initial R swapped for a U, when a banner is selected. (Since this is what most people use.)
This would speed up batch creation of channels immensly when I wish to swap loader in more than a few channels.

Well I'm continuing... at least for now

Though work stuff hinders it a bit...

Here is my release plan...

1. Actual Ocarina support + SD Card support
2. User Interface improvements, filenaming... and selectable automatic title id
3. Batch mode maybe... (Since I'm no gui guy, this will possibly be the hardest to implement

4. Parental controls (need to investigate tmd + ticket stuff further...) , open to suggestions in this one...

A suggestion for a hacky batch mode:
  • Make the binary accept .bnr-files as parameters. Thus you could drop a bunch of banner-files on the .exe and, for each, it should:
  • Extract the Disc ID as now.
  • Set loader binary to your predefined settings.
  • Set Title ID to Disc ID with regexp 's/^R/U/'.
  • Repack and set filename to [Disc ID].wad, and put in same directory as .bnr-file.

Well YAL is really simple since it handles the wbfs stuff in the ios hence it's really small sizewise... I would use it for all games that works... 140K ~ 280K or more for other loaders. Also it's custom ios (222) is not updated much, hence there is no way your games will be broken easily...
Also check out the video I published when this loader released... It's certainly has no problems recognizing discs...

Actually I don't have a thorough idea regarding their runtime performance, maybe one should make a test and see how they perform using a single game with more than one channels...

Hmm, it already gets the banner filename as parameter

Except keeping the preconfigured settings, this seems to be easy to implement gui-wise... And saving the loader settings is another nice feature that both in batch mode and normal mode can be used.

The ordinal 3106 could not be located in the dynamic link library LIBEAY32.dll

what does this mean? how do I fix this?

not sure if there is more then one dll other then LIBEAY32.dll needed?

if so where do I get it?

Maybe the dll you got is not suitable for your system,
best is to download and install one from here that suits your system : http://www.slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html

Also could you be more specific, what os are you using?

Found the problem I downloaded libeay32.dll and put it in the dir before I downloaded openssl

all I had to do is delete libeay32.dll from the program dir.

OS: windows 7 beta

all good now

Tester / testers needed for autoboot loader that has ocarina & sdhc based on 1.5 by waninkoko...
I tested it works with usb drive but I don't have any wbfs partitioned sd or sdhc card...

Thanks for the 1.5 loader, really nice.

I was wondering, does any existing wii channels (VC, Wiiware or otherwise) use the IDs WUL# or UL##?

Wouldn't want to replace anything else.. I do think I'll redo my first 9 channels though, didn't think before I started making them.. I have 31 games, not 9 so WUL isn't of much use

Oh very nice.. I just noticed the games launched from my own channels show up with the right names in the message board logfile..
I was getting tired of having played "Other" for hours

Well you can safely use title id's replacing the initial letter with U I guess... Title database doesn't contain any of them...

Maybe we can install these channels as game channels like wii fit channel and mario kart channel so there is minimum possibility of collision...

4 characters we give to the channels are prepended again with 4 chars signifying type of content...

so instead of using

00010001: Downloaded channels

we may use below prefix.... needs testing tough

00010004: Game channels and games that use them

hm maybe possible, but since ALL tik files are stored in the TIK folder in nand I think you still need seperate ID, if i recall the tik are stored without the 00010001 or 00010004 in the file name
