Hacking update , need a bit of help on 4.3 wii screwup

i installed usb loader on nephews wii last year and the dope put in a neighbors tiger woods game which i told never to do and it updated to 4.3 ugg homebrew channel is gone and i am trying to remember how exactly to fix.

1 i think i install bootmi w/ bannerbomb then im looking at how i did it last year and its not totally clear what next god it sucks getting old and forgetting shit any help would be appreciated

do you have bootmii@boot2 or any forwarder channels installed?

if not, your gonna need indiana pwns to reinstall HBC (4.3 killed bannerbomb).... might as well follow a guide at this point; not only is HBC gone, but so are your cIOS....not only were you running an obsolete HBC (newer ones don't get deleted on 4.3), but you didn't install priiloader and enable the 'block disc update' hack....this is really no ones fault but your own...don't be blaming the nephew....

look up the 'modmii' or the "modify any wii" threads in the stickies at the top of this forum....

that's possible....i've never done an official ninty update....
i do know forwarder channels will get him home though....

Bannerbomb was killed off with the 4.3 update, so you'll either have to use Smash Stack or Indiana Pwns (or Yu-Gi-Oh 5D Wheelie Breakers I guess) to re-hack the Wii. Follow the GBAtemp tutorial, or the Complete Softmod Guide to re-hack it.

I'm pretty sure BootMii at boot2 doesn't get removed unless Nintendo does an upgrade to boot2 itself, like they did with 4.1 to 4.2 I think (went from boot2v2 to boot2v4 or something). Most System Menu updates simply update the official Nintendo IOS, and remove any 'illegal' IOS files that are on the system, so BootMii IOS along with all the cIOS files will get deleted.
