95% sure he wants to know which system wins in terms of quality RPG. And I'd say it's a tough thing to call. I'll cheat and say DS wins because i have a Lite and can play GBA games on it!

If your talking in numbers of RPG's I would say DS, but I am pretty sure GBA has the most RPG's to make it to America since like 75% of the RPG's on the DS are only in Japan and pretty much most of them aren't leaving there

Didn't really like world destruction. Waaaay too easy. However nothing beats Riviera the promised land on the gba or golden sun 1 and 2 except maybe golden sun ds. So far I'd say the gba has better rpgs.

i think golden sun and mother 3 is on the class of their own

World Destruction would not be the best DS RPG
but it is something different from the tradition JRPG

Agreed. Mother 3 is amazing - great storytelling and great randomness.

I like World destruction. It's like rpg lite, basically.

I think the gba had better, solid classical titles while the ds has innovative ideas on it. PS0? TWENTY? Phantom Hourglass/Spirit tracks?

So, basically, if you want classic, go play gba. If you want something newer - go play some games on the ds.

Heh, my vote will depend solely on Golden Sun DS.

Right now I'd say GBA because of Golden Sun, Pokemon, and Final Fantasy. Plus, the GBA Fire Emblems completely outshine the bullcrap DS one.

i don't know why Nintendo haven't brought more Fire Emblem games especially for my wii^^. but something that totally confuses me is the fact that there isn't a 2D Metroid for the NDS. Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion were/are the best GBA games, imo. but back to topic.

For me, the NDS have more good RPGs then the GBA.

GBA RPGs of note (that I know of):
Riviera
Pokemon (series)
Golden Sun 1&2
Yggdra Union
Mario and Luigi 1
Breath of Fire
Tactics Ogre
Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced
Fire Emblem
Tales of Phantasia
Medabots

That's all I have for now.

I still play my GBA regularly, Fire Emblem is just too tempting...

I liked it better than FE 8. Hopefully Fire Emblem has a big enough fanbase to support another game.

I love RPGs, but I never really got to play very many at all.

Sterl500, you forgot Advance Wars (series).

A little harder than FE to some; it's made by the same company. Really good game. Try 'em out.

Advance Wars is not really an RPG (on GBA it isn't, on DS it's a little bit RPG in the latest game, since you can gain levels).
It's more of a tactical game.

There are 3 Fire Emblem games on the GBA, the third one was only released in Japan and you can play it via a translation patch. It's way harder then the other two.

I too hope they make another Fire Emblem for DS, can't wait! I really liked the graphics on DS actually.
