It's official! The Division 2 is indeed happening!

There were rumors of the title being in the works earlier and these have been confirmed in a news post by Ubisoft confirming that they are working on the sequel of Tom Clancy’s The Division.

Development will be led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Bucharest. The post also notes that The Division 2 will be powered by an updated version of the Snowdrop engine.

While no release date nor the platforms for which the title will be released were mentioned, a recent tweet from Ubisoft mentioned that more details to be revealed during this year's E3:

I hope they learned a lot through feedback of the first one. It's a good game that is weighed down by its faults.

Can't wait for every gun do over 1000 damage but every enemy is a fucking tank that you need to waste all your ammo to kill... can't wait

been talk on the game's forums since launch on how the sequal may be done. Countless request from it's fans to have the sequal to actually be a old school massive expansion to the first. Ubisoft orginally did talk about it being possible done that way during the short private beta, so idk. Here's to hoping

I played the first game on launchday. It was so broken than i had to play it days later, and was boring.
